"I have the best science teacher Mrs Smith 5 stars!!!"
"the first SECOND I stepped one crusty little toenail into this EXTREMELY disgusting school, my whole family was kidnapped by ruffians from 5 different countries. I am absolutley DISGUSTED with this schools behaviour. People there are utterly FILTHY. Coming from an innocent little british chap, I am warning you to NEVER set foot into these disgusting school grounds unless you want to be threatened by a child to get your toes eaten off. RESPECTFULLY, thank you. mwa!"
"lots of the teachers are disinterested in helping students and put in the bare minimum effort to collect there pay check. also teachers have been caught drinking on the job and not fired or discipled only "asked to leave" where they can continue to another position"
"Soon-to-be-ex-student here. There are some redeeming qualities, however the school is one that cares little about the wellbeing of its students, more so about excellence and polish - seemingly at any cost. Arden regularly neglects to provide material and equipment of quality that is acceptable for one that charges $22,000 a year. It lives under false pretence that it can provide an all rounded, quality education, when in reality it can provide a mediocre job at best. The "small enough to care" is a joke. I have never felt more out of touch with a group of people than here. It will claim to monitor and eliminate normal high school school problems, when in reality there is just as much vaping, drug usage in students, internet freedom (the IT restrictions are child's play to a curious teenager), bullying, etc. as many other schools, private and public alike. Arden allows no pathway to happiness, acceptance, or comfortability in peers, or in the wider school community. It is prejudiced, it is discriminatory, and I have watched it ruin people. I won't tell you not to go here, but don't believe the word of the people running tours in order to entice you. Believe the word of a student who has witnessed the way it operates first hand."
"I would give no stars if I could. I am an ex-student and I can easily say the worst years of my life were at this school. I am still dealing with trauma from some of the experiences I had here. In Year 11, I had a teacher who treated me terribly simply because of my race. Throughout the year, she terrorised me, insulted and made race-based assumptions about myself and my family, and at one point even tried to fail me in the subject so I could not move on to Year 12. When brought up with the principal, I was given 'I'm sorry you feel that way' as a response. There were other situations with this teacher being prejudiced against students of other races. There was even one instance where she was prejudiced against a student with ASD. I spent a year building a body of evidence until the teacher was finally "asked to leave" (not terminated!). All this school cares about is their image and their students who are academically high performing. The environment is toxic and not accepting of diverse backgrounds. The few teachers who supported me during this time are no longer there; I'm not sure what the school is like now, but I would strongly urge not to send your children to this school. They will not get the support and care they need. This particular experience with this teacher is still affecting me now, over a decade later. She was a hospitality teacher, and every time I am preparing meals, I can feel her standing over my shoulder and criticising me for everything I am doing. This is something I am going to be working through for the rest of my life. A school should prioritise student wellbeing first and support them so they feel safe. There are so many amazing schools in the area who will care about the individual student; this is not one of them."
