"Spent well over $6000 - Took over a year to receive all items for sofas x 2 , armchair and ottoman - still have not received the $300 vouchers ($100 for every $2000 spent) or the $100 voucher for order being so late. Have no response from the store whenever I enquire. Always say “someone will get back to you”. Would never recommend or buy any thing from Freedom again - also, the quality of the furniture is poor."
"I would give zero star if the system allows... On Sunday, 25th June, at approximately 3:30pm, my wife and I were queuing at the Castle Hill Freedom store. We had a large artificial plant to purchase, about 1.7 meters tall, and were waiting in line at the counter to make a purchase. Right as we were about to check out, the store attendant suddenly left the counter. My wife turned to me and suggested that we put the plant down and wait for a moment. I thought that someone would notice we were ready to pay if I held onto the plant. We waited for about 5 minutes, but nobody approached us. We eventually placed the plant down and waited for another 5 minutes, but still no one came to assist us. Feeling helpless, my wife had to seek staff member. She went to the counter at the back and inquired if someone could assist us at the front counter, explaining that the plant was a bit bulky for us to keep carrying around. The staff member informed her that they were stationed at the back counter and suggested there should be two staff members at the front counter as well. They asked her to be patient and continue waiting. So, she had to return to the previous counter and continue waiting there. After an additional 5 minutes, no one approached us. Regrettably, we had no choice but to carry the bulky plant and head to the back counter. Finally, a male store attendant attended to us. We expressed our dissatisfaction, stating that the previous attendant should have at least informed us when she saw us with the plant, ready to check out. The male attendant responded by saying, "We are all very busy today, so you'll need to be more patient." We were taken aback and hoped for an apology, but after waiting for nearly 20 minutes, he merely told us to be more patient? We were quite dissatisfied and my wife said to him, "I understand that you are busy, but before leaving the counter, couldn't you have at least informed us that she wouldn't be available for checkout or asked us to wait for a moment?" The attendant said, "Okay, I apologize," but without any sincerity. He asked if we could be more patient. There was still no genuine apology, and it felt that it was our fault for being inpatient. My wife stated, "This is not our fault," but the attendant said it wasn't their fault either. Faced with this confrontational attitude, my wife requested to speak to the manager. Ironically, this rude male attendant informed me that he was the manager. As we were shocked to learn that he was the manager and were speechless, this "manager" further insulted us by saying, "If you're not going to buy anything, feel free to leave. I'll be happy about it!" After spending 20 minutes waiting to check out, we left the store without purchasing the items we wanted, feeling indignant. We are appalled by the overall service attitude of this store. However, if the manager behaves in such a manner, how can we expect the staff to respect us and simply say, "Please wait a moment, I'll be right back"? If the responsible personnel at Freedom genuinely care about customer experience, we kindly request them to review the footage from around 3:30pm, on 25th June at the Castle Hill store. They can see for themselves if we waited for so long without any store attendant coming to assist us, as well as the arrogant manner the male staff displayed, who claimed he was the manager. Very disappointing experience. We will not come back to Freedom again."
"Avoid at all cost if you want to keep your excitement up in designing your new place! We bought a sofa and a dining table March 5. Expected delivery date was May 8, followed it up on the 10th, apparently was moved to the 19th of May. Followed it up again today (16/5), and now its moved to first week of June. Wouldn't be surprised if this is moved to December! The only reason they gave was shipping delays from overseas when it clearly says on the product that it was "Australian Made". What a scam! - Best response they can give you on these reviews is "We do apologise for what happen". Got an email today (30/5) Again postponed to 14/06 (of course) Update 14/06 Still not in warehouse. Possibility on one of the items being discontinued. They will call me tomorrow for an update on the container"
"Wish I could give 0 stars. Apparently paying for something in full does not guarantee you will get it. We purchased a dining table and 8 chairs and today I called to ask when the delivery is as we didn't receive any text messages. The team member informed me that oh sorry someone else purchased the dining table as it was not on a live system and only gets updated in 24 hours?! But you took all our money for a dining table and 8 chairs and we are moving in two weeks. The dining table is now coming in April and I do not want it anymore. What kind of service is this?! Do not purchase anything from Freedom!"
"Massive freedom store. Main attraction are beds and cushions. Helpful staff. Variety of options. Sale is currently running so head off to freedom now."
