"Our visit to the Spicy joint in Chatswood was nothing short of a nightmare. We made a booking for a dinner reservation, but when we arrived, my friends and I were initially denied entry to the room that we had booked because they got the wrong booking slip with wrong booking number. How ridiculous it was!!! To make matters worse, while we were dining, we discovered a small cockroach in our dessert!!! which was unacceptable experience that left us feeling disgusted and uncomfortable. When the bill arrived, it was yet another mess. They had included numerous dishes that we hadn't even ordered. Instead of properly addressing the issue, they left us to sort through the items and identify the correct ones. The manager offered us a 10% discount as compensation, but upon reevaluating the receipt at home, we realised they had overcharged us even after the discount was applied. This was totally unacceptable at all!!!! The most intolerable thing was the waitress 's consistently arrogant attitude from the beginning to the end. Finally, when we were arguing with the manager about the bill, the waitress was whispering to someone nearby that we wanted a free meal, and our friend overheard it. When we confronted her, she actually asked if we had recorded the conversation. Moreover, the manager showed no concern or took any action when we pointed out that the waitress was being abusive. It's simply unbearable!!! Our overall experience at Spicy joint Chatswood was nothing but a disaster. We expected a pleasant evening but ended up leaving with disappointment, frustration, and regret. We will never return to this restaurant again!!!"
"A dead average Chinese restaurant serving decent enough food. Service however was bad with waitresses huddling in groups badmouthing about customers - also had to wait over 30 minutes for them just to get our orders wrong. (Had to chase up so long just for two bowls of rice). Although the food is decent, there are better places to head to for dinner."
"A good experience. The restaurant is located in the food area above the train station - a convenient location and a good vibe. The restaurant is nicely decorated and gives off a semi authentic vibe of being in Asia (at least with the dishes and cutlery). The service was fast and efficient so I have no real issues with it, but it could have been a bit more friendly or welcoming etc. In terms of the food, the name of the restaurant does not lie. I think all the dishes we got had a level of spice. It ranged from a “bit of a runny nose” level to a “crying a little bit” level, so nothing too crazy. The dishes were presented well and were very tasty. I highly recommend!"
"The restaurant is located on the top floor of chatswood interchange outside the train station, it is a very nice place for lunch and family dinner. The food is yum and the environment is warm and welcoming."
"Believe me, no need to go to this restaurant. The worst Sichuan restaurant I have ever been. You will properly only feel very oily and spicy in all dishes. I don’t know whether they forgot to add other flavour for example : Salt or chicken powder…… Very nasty taste of Lazijii (辣子雞), if u close your eyes, u don’t know what u are eating for sure(感覺你們油要換一下了 炸出來的雞粒油益味很重,千年油的感覺… and also the (水煮魚), that’s not 水煮魚 sorry, that’s oil and fish and chilli only with no flavour. And the intestine hotpot which I though that must be very 下飯… Finally, very disappointed as it’s only boiled pork intestine with a chilli soup with no salt. If u re expected to eat sichuan dishes, please don’t go there and waste your money on all tasteless food. Thats not Chinese food sorry. And the best dishes of the night is the steam rice."
