"Outstanding - so impressed with the food I will definitely go back! The arrangement is sharing from small to larger plates. The steak was melt in your mouth perfection, & the leeks the same. The creamed almonds were yum… as was the stracciatella, grapes & candied fennel. Mind you, I was the only one who felt this way amongst my group of 3. They were more partial to the creamed almonds from the small plates. The gnocchi was perhaps the least favourite - a little stodgy? But the charcoal leeks - more please!!"
"This might be one of the best places I've ever been. I feel both at home and also at a fine dining establishment. The service is so friendly and fun, yet read a table so well. The cocktails are delicious and dangerous. I had the charcoal leeks & Wyagu scotch fillet and both were out of this world and the Madeline's for dessert? Yes please!"
"Dead Ringer provides luxuries for the tastebuds. We came for a Saturday night meal last year and enjoyed sharing plates and a few bottles of white wine. The place provides intimacy with their dim but warm lighting, rustic interiors, heating and various breakout seating arrangements for groups. The menu is seasonal, but for an entrée we ordered the homemade focaccia and oysters, for mains we ordered the house made gnocchi with cauliflower (very smooth) the double baked goats cheese & leek soufflé with walnuts (melt-in-your-mouth-divine!), and the 12-hour slow-roasted lamb shoulder (heavenly). We finished with a night cap and we’re impressed with the service and quality of meals and menu!"
"Lovely find just off Oxford Street. We had a table outside, and opted for the fixed price Menu. Curiously the Menu is found by the QR code on the table, but you order via the staff, who are attentive and friendly. All courses were presented perfectly. The stand out being the Steak that comes cooked medium rare, and the delightful Sticky Date Pudding. Well made cocktails and an impressive wine list makes this place a standout. Bottom line $660 for 4, but well worth the spend."
