"Conveniently tucked into the complex shared with Harris farm, this small open eatery has a wholesome casual vibe. The service was friendly and attentive. However there’s room to improve on the food. The stars of the show being pasta and pizza were average at best. Prawn pasta - this came with 1 prawn. The sauce lacked depth or seafood flavour. Tasted with simple Passatta which is fine however could benefit from more salt or chilli to amp it up. Mushroom truffle pizza - I found this bland, uninspiring and oily. I tasted mostly cheese. Mushrooms too sparse and truffle oil too mild to offer much flavour. Mussels - this was the best dish of the lot. Seafoody, subtle spicy kick and perfectly cooked. Disappointed it didn’t come with baguette which is standard at other Italian restaurants. Burrata with tomatoes - basic, simple, could’ve been amped up with more flavour in the dressing to the tomatoes other the balsamic drizzle over the top. Salumi plate with truffle and fennel - we only received the slices of salami and not the truffle or fennel as noted on the menu. Bit confused..salami was good though. Overall this was average at best."
"TRUFFLE SEASON IS FINALLY HERE saltmeatscheese has a pretty affordable truffle menu on for ala carte every day of the week. We pretty much ordered everything except the porchetta from the truffle menu. We've learned from last experience the more overpowering the other flavors of the dish the less you taste the truffle so it's best to pair truffle with something that let's it shine. We weren't sure of serving size so got mains first. The lasagne was a stand out, very mushroomy in flavour and the truffle was more infused in this than the other dishes. The pasta was creamy with only a subtle truffle flavour they really kept the pasta plainer to let that shine. Pizza is pizza and the dough was satisfyingly crispy and soft. The pizza and the pastas were very close in flavour side they were mostly the same ingredients (truffle and mushroom) We were still hungry so got the Crostini entree just to try it. The ricotta was really really truffley Soo definitely worth getting. The truffle baked cheesecake was the standout for me, sweet and creamy but fell apart in your mouth with a punch of truffle. Highly recommend. We rolled ourselves out after that and in terms of portions there was absolutely no way we could've fit the porchetta lol. The drummoyne version of this restaurant is weirdly in a supermarket but hey at least there's plenty of parking and the service was impeccable. The menu is available after 5pm only during July so get in quick."
"I’ve sampled their cakes over the past few months on occasions when I come to do my grocery shopping. But today I decided to sit down for morning tea and was very glad I did. The coffee was very good and the freshly baked banana, oat and Nutella muffin was excellent - lots of texture and not too sweet (but definitely filling so I only ate half!). The sun streams in through the storefront windows and Italian music plays in the background - it was worth stopping off just before the shopping just to experience it ✨"
"Delightful little Cafe with an Italian flair located inside Harris Farm Markets Drummoyne. Impressive and tempting selection of prepared meals and paninis in glass display cabinet. Ordered breakfast on a Saturday morning, the place wasn't busy at all, with only two other dine in patrons. The avocado bruschetta was a smallish serving, but well prepared nonetheless. Bread was well toasted, avocado was laced with lemon oil, and the dish was served warm and tasty. Friendly and fast service, recommended."
"Excellent food, extremely friendly staff. Came across this restaurant randomly, had a great time! I highly recommend their pizza (I had the mushroom cheese pizza, delicious!)"
