Welcome to The Actors Pulse Sydney, located at 103 Regent Street in Redfern, Sydney. As the leading Meisner Technique acting school in the southern hemisphere, we are dedicated to providing a genuine and organic approach to acting.

The Meisner Technique is a step-by-step method that allows actors to act truthfully under imaginary circumstances. At The Actors Pulse, we believe in finding those universal human qualities within ourselves to create real, moving, and authentic performances across stage, film, and television.

Our founder, Billy Milionis, studied directly under Sanford Meisner himself and combines Meisner principles with character development and genuine storytelling. With over 25 years of experience as a professional drama coach, Billy has appeared on Australian screens and stages, as well as international feature films. He has also written, directed, and produced several films seen by millions worldwide.

Joining Billy is Bren Foster, an accomplished actor with over 15 years of experience nationally and internationally. Bren studied under Billy at The Actors Pulse and has returned to Australia to continue his acting career and teach alongside Billy, sharing his vast industry knowledge.

Mel, an Actors Pulse graduate, is a star of the hit ABC series Reef Break and has appeared in other notable shows such as Janet King, Pulse, Home & Away, and Harrow. With over 10 years of experience as a senior instructor of Screen Acting & Meisner Technique, Mel brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our classes.

Terry, one of Australia's most accomplished performers, has credits including Running on Empty, He Died With a Felafel in his Hand, and Dirty Deeds. He has also taught at The Actors Pulse since 2011, sharing his expertise in comedy, drama, and musical genres.

Our team also includes Lukas, an Actors Pulse alumni and accomplished screen actor who has recently returned from a successful stint in New Zealand. Lukas will be starring in upcoming productions such as the ABC/Sky TV comedy co-production Frayed and short film Kill Your Sons.

Felix Schwartz brings over 20 years of experience in mime and gesture for the performing arts, and Laura, a NIDA & VCA graduate, combines her training in Voice & Dialect with her qualifications in Yoga, Qi Gong, and Mindfulness.
