"Took my near 3 year old lab in as he had a stick stuck in the back of his throat. The nurse was awesome! They took him into the room and returned 5mins later with said stick in hand. He was given a free chicken meal and a few pats and we were off on our merry way. Thanks heaps"
"I bought my old dog in at around 5am as I woke up to him choking and coughing up a lot of bad stuff. We got put into a consultation room straight away, a nurse took down all his details and did a temperature check, she then told us that this time of the morning is handover time and we will only see a vet in 1 hour. I was happy to just wait there as I didn’t have any other choice. My dog ended up doing a few vomits around the room. The nurse came in about 10 minutes later and saw all the vomit and said we will need to leave it there for the vet to see ( fair enough) the part that really upset me is the fact that, we only ended up seeing a vet 2 hours later… I went outside to reception to ask what was going on ( I think they actually forgot about us) and then when the vet finally came in, she did the exact same checks as the nurse and we had to go somewhere else to get an ultrasound done. When we left they still charged us a lot of money which I thought was ridiculous as we didn’t really get seen to and we had to sit in a room full on vomit and having to watch my dog in distress with no help.. to have had to wait 2 hours to see a vet at a “emergency “ vet is absolutely disgusting."
"We knew our cat had ingested a foreign object "thread from unravelling from collar" she was in pain and it was late in the evening and we thought we had no other option but to take her to the Frankston AEC Our consult cost $239 of which we were told she required an Xray and Surgery costing a massive price of $7000 Paying such an exorbitant price was never an option for us and they never should have charged $239 to sell us a service we can't afford. Next day we took our cat to a local vet and were given a price that was 70% cheaper than AEC and weren't charged a consult fee for the quote."
"Our dog Emmy was very unwell, not eating or drinking for days. The vents and nurses at AEC Frankston were amazing with the care they provided Emmy and now she has fully recovered due to the treatment she received."
