"I've been to this vet a few times and my experience has always been positive. Always kind, patient, thoughtful..... today was no different. I had to say goodbye to one of my little cats and Kate the vet and the wonderful girl assisting her ( I'm sorry I missed your name) could not have been lovelier. They made a horrible situation as stress free as possible and I really appreciate them for that."
"I took my 14 year old Penny to these guys on Monday morning we were so destressed as she was pooing blood and vomitting blood we thought she had cancer , the vet seemed horrified when Penny poohed blood all over her consulting room. We thought the worst and did not have thousands of dollars to spend on treatment and explained to the vet . The vet pannicked and rushed us out into the street claiming Penny could be contagious with polo virus common in animals they even took the eftpos machine out into the street as they didnt want us in the surgery charged us $95.00 fee we were devastated and thought our much loved Penny was dying they referred Penny to ARH at West Gosford these guys were amazing they did a blood test and ultrasound and found Penny had an infection they gave her fluids antibiotics and nausea medication Penny is now bouncing back to her normal happy self we spent $900.00 at the Animal Referral Hospital the vet was amazing and made us feel assured that our much loved Penny would be okay Penny has gone to Point Claire Vet since Birth but in 2019 i suffered financial stress so she never had her injections then covid hit but I have always given her nexta tablets they tried to tell me she was un vacinated but ARH Hospital said she was as she had been done since birth and only missed 3 years I am so disappointed with my experience I feel as I stated I didnt have Thousands to spend they were interested in Pennys health"
"Took my cat for a general check up, and to have her needles. The Vet and staff were quite friendly and explained everything to me."
"Crawford took time to explain various options and treatments and listened carefully to my concerns. I'm minding this dog, so Crawford checked his history before making any recommendations."
"My Cavoodle x Molly unfortunately died from Kidney Failure on 1.10.2020 She was shy of turning 9.......be aware, if you take your dog in to a vet with illness, e.g, loss of weight, (5.5kg) compared to last years weight .....not eating, coughing with fever, and your vet prescribes Meloxicam without the recommended bloods pathology and without diagnosis..e.g...a cause for illness other than fussy eater....Please do not give them to your pet without asking them why...... Found out the hard way, had to watch my baby die...way before her time.......lack of communication, diagnosed with fussy eating, the vet failed to tell us her weight loss and diagnosis on the day of visit to Point Clare on the 17th August (Point Clare gave us the impression that Molly was suffering with Kennel Cough which Umina clarified on the 30th September as untrue)- if we had of known about her weight loss, we would of taken her to a professional vet to stabilise her underlying condition of Kidney issues instead of being sent away and told to come back if her cough was still present within 5 day (her cough disappearedwithin thattime frame), and later on, at Umina on the 30th September where they refused to see her 3 hours before her set appointment. Rude staff who believe they do not need to share vet notes or diagnosis of pets illnesses, leading to unnecessary death- traumatic is an understatement. 168 West Street Umina, are not licensed and therefore must not use the term 'Clinic' or 'Surgery In it's description."
