"Fantastic throwback to the hay day of Chinese restaurants in Australia. The decor remains unchanged, replete with booths lining the walls and huge circular tables occupying the best spots. The service is fast and efficient. The menu is full of classics and the beer of choice is Crown Lager. The highlight is the Peking Duck done the way it should be: carved at your table and the pancakes assembly delicately for your enjoyment."

"The first time that I visited the Choyan was about 38 years ago. It had a name for good quality food and service back then and nothing has changed. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly and attentive. Whether you are looking for a quiet dinner for two, or a banquet for ten, this is the place to come. We had one of the chef's specials, salt an pepper mixed seafood, honey king prawns and chilli fillet steak. All of which had generous servings and were full of flavour. The honey king prawns were the best we had had in quite a while."
