"This is a well designed holiday house. Very comfortable to stay and close to everything. I think I will come back if I want to have another blue mountains gateway. Something you might want to know before you choose this house: there is no dishwasher and washing machine, and there is only 1 bathroom. However, for a small family weekend gateway, I do not mind not having them."
"Had some lovely family time at Sidney’s Retreat. It has a very welcoming vibe, very nicely decorated, didn’t want for anything. Loved the log fire, nice and cosy. Kitchen had all we needed. Walking distance to cafes and restaurants. Great communication from host, wish we could have stayed longer."
"Highly recommend a stay at Sidney’s Retreat. Sidney’s is amazing, the quaintest cottage with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Comfy beds, lovely linen, great kitchen if you decide to cook, heating in all rooms, loved the rustic decor. Ticked all of the boxes for us, and will definitely be returning."
"great location. lovely beds great bathroom. balcony. BBQ. but... you will not receive bacon and eggs on arrival.the furniture shown in the pictures of property is not as it furnished uncomfortable and full of dust. if you have animals may be great place to stay.but if you are expecting an award winning property you will be sorely disappointed. those days have long past. dust everywhere. when bought to their attention were told it's part of the charm"
"This spacious but quirky house is brilliantly located to explore Katoomba and the perfect size for two couples. It's just a few minutes walk to the main street and a few minutes drive to the Three Sisters. The best part of the house is definitely the deck with amazing views over the valley. The rooms are all spacious, the kitchen is well equipped (loved the coffee machine) and there is a lovely big claw foot bath in the bathroom. Bacon, eggs, bread and milk were all provided for breakfast. The living room had lots to keep one entertained on a weekend away; games, books and dvds. The only things we didn't like were that the sink in the kitchen was badly marked/stained which was a bit of a turn off and there was no off street parking. Just a note, there's a fan but no air con in hot weather and a lovely big fire, heaters and electric blankets for cold weather."
