"One of my favourite lakes in Waterford. A hidden gem."
"I found this spot years ago whilst out on a drive, i went through an open gate and found myself on these logging tracks. parked up by a sign post, walked over the hill and OMG what a site!"
"Short 6.6mm walk, including walking around the lake. Follow the blue arrows up to the lake and then the red arrows home to do a loop. If you just do the loop, you won't go to the Lake. Moderate to easy, hiking boots recommended as walk through a field to get to lake. Lovely hike with constant views of Slievenamon"
"Good paths up, a lovely bit of a loop, might take about 21/2 to 3 hours. The lake water is icy enough for September."
"Strenuous start to get to the top of the ridge to 360° views as far as the eye can see on a clear day. Contour back from The Gap past Coumduala Lough and Lough Mohra with impressive craggy backdrops and mirror like water, finishing by following the forestry track back to the trailhead. Well exercised but well worth it!"
