Reviews of Doolin Ferries
"Great day out...whole Doolin experience was very well organised from beginning to end, the minute we arrived into Doolin we saw signs to ferry & free carpark was very well signposted, we arrived bang on time at 10.30 (family of 8) for our sailing at 11, got in the queue 15 minutes was no length before we were on board, it set sail on time we all had our seats plus the weather was a bonus sun was shining, the staff on board were ever so nice, our sailing took 50 mins to Inis Mor island, our departure was at 4.15, we arrived on return home 15 mins before departure. It was a wonderful day out & Great experience would highly recommend & thank you."
"Such a relaxing ride and a beautiful trip! I'm so glad that we arranged this tour. We drove past the visitor's center for the cliffs and even first thing in the morning, it was wall-to-wall tour buses and people. It was so much more relaxing to drive past all of that to Doolin and take a cliffs cruise to see them. The boat was clean and relaxing and the views were incredible!"
"Great boats and an amazing trip in large waves. Just don't sit outside on the port (left) side of the boat in rough weather or you will get soaked. It was worth getting drenched for the experience though!"
"This was the best experience we had on our trip to Ireland. The ride was super and the view we had of the cliffs was far superior to any we would have got from on land. Despite my wife's limited mobility we had no difficulty embarking or disembarking. Thoroughly recommend."
"I have mixed feelings about the Cliffs of Moher tour. My friend and I were waiting in this long line, waiting for the boat to arrive. When the boat arrived we looked at each other and went "all of these people are getting on this boat?" The answer was yes. We finally crowded on the boat like sardines in a can. My friend and I went below and got, what we thought, were front row seats to the cliffs. When the boat cast off and we arrived to the cliffs, everybody who didn't have a "good seat" got up and stood around the edge of the boat, completely blocking our view. We tried to get a better look, but people would keep blocking us. When the boat turned around and started heading back, the "tour guide" began explaining things about the cliffs over the speakers, but there were so many people, and it was so loud, that you couldn't possibly hear the person. We also didn't get close to the cliffs, at all (which I understand, there's a limit to how close you can get, but we were very far away). You know, if you love boat rides, then you may enjoy this, otherwise, just go to the top of the cliffs - you get a better view and have more freedom to roam. If you do choose to go on this boat tour, then bring a small towel, or something, because the seats are wet (at least they are down below)."
