"40 mins drive from Ennis, notes strenuous walk but with time it’s manageable for those of us less fit and worth the spectacular views! Parking at 2 mile gate has toilet facilities, coffee stop, grassy park, bbq to use just bring your coals and lake swimming - ideal for picnic to finish off the day. Will return better prepared next visit!"
"Great facilities for a short walk or the longer hike to Moylussa. A moderate level of fitness required to get to the summit. Beautiful views all the way."
"We parked here to walk up to Moylussa, Clare's highest point. Last part to the peak was the most challenging and you definitely need good foot wear and be relatively fit. Views and walk very enjoyable, it took us 1 hour and 10 minutes to get to the top. We were lucky to make it up before the showers started, on the way down we had torrential showers but luckily we made our pictures on the way up. Very enjoyable and recommendable."
"Nice walk. Follow the main winding roads or take the steep shortcuts. Walk up to Moylussa is bit steep in places but once you get to the boardwalk your almost there. Enjoy the scenic views."
"We parked here for to complete a looped walk with our 2 children (age 5 and 8). The walk is a good trail with solid footing for the most part. There are 1 or 2 spots that could have better signage for novive trail walkers. That said we all really enjoyed the mix of views, bog, stream, windswept at the top. Ireland is hard to beat on a dry bright day."
