"We camped here in February and had the whole place to ourselves! Electric hook-up for our camper van and all the facilities were great! Camp hosts were all super helpful and went out of their way to make our stay smooth sailing! Great quiet and beautiful area and the restaurant on site was a bonus!"
"I arrived at this campsite in my motorhome and then immediately left. Vans/campers were crammed in like sardines, also far too basic for the price. A farmers field would have been a better option."
"November isn't the best time of year to see a site at its best. This is a small circle of spaces with a green space in the centre for tents. Electric hook up around the perimeter. Site on a slope so most likely to need wheel ramps to level up. No hard standing so all on grass. Toilet block is open sided barn with unisex facilities made up of two toilets, two showers and a disabled cubicle also. The shower cubicles are large but basic concrete floor and walls. The addition of a duck board standing area would be great even if this was just in a corner of the cubicle so there would be a dry area to stand on getting dressed. The site is adjacent to Pipers Inn, where you pay camping fee. Pipers has an extensive excellent menu and very comfortable pub area. Toilets in Pipers are excellent also the staff."
"Our first time here and we arrived on the Hottest day of the year. We checked in at the bar and all the waiting/ lounge staff were lovely especially Mary. I kind of got a "bad attitude vibe" off the manager at the time of arrive as she spoke to one of the staff a bit mean in front of myself and my boyfriend. We had travelled from Dublin just after completing a race that day and we set up our tent. The camp site its self was small and intimate which was actually really peaceful as there was no kids around. We had our dinner in the Campsite restaurant "Pipers Inn". We eventually got a table outside in the lovely sunny afternoon and the food was really really lovely. Overall the campsite and food and over all experience was really good. I was only annoyed at how far the walk to the lake was as I thought it was a lot closer and had planned to swim there. It is however a short drive away."
"Great place to camp, the facilities are basic on site and they don't try and hide it , its a really friendly laid back place and the views are outstanding!!The food in the pub was excellent, we will defo be back !"
