"Nice little hotel to stay in the cwnter of Galway. Small room but very comfortable bed, very clean, with everything for coffee , a super bathroom shower and the young reception lady was so very friendly. She gave us a map and indicated suggestions on best places to eat and she kept our bags at the desk while we went to the cliffs for the day. So nice! The train station and bus to the cliffs is just around the corner and the town is very quaint to walk around. We really enjoyed our stay! Thanks again."
"Cute hotel on 3rd floor, with lift broken, so be prepared to walk. They didn’t tell me lift was broken until after I booked the room, which is fine for me but anyone not as able bodied might be pretty upset. The bed was super small but comfortable. Nice modern, clean bathroom and room decor. Room was way too hot and we had to open the window, which was noisy. The worst thing was the green emergency light on the ceiling which illuminated the room all night. Thankfully I found my eye mask and ear plugs in the middle of the night, but my partner did not. Neither of us got much sleep. So giving hotel 2 stars for the heat, broken elevator, and green night light."
"Room does not have a/c. The window can’t be open to let cool air come in. Can’t believe I’m breaking into a sweat in the middle of winter. Was not able to sleep. Shower room was dark. There were no hangers in the shower for clothes or towels."
"Great location and service. Friendly and helpful staff; room was small but clean and we'll equiped. Bed was very comfortable and washroom was modern. Elevator out of service but they are more than willing to help you with your bags. Easy to park in 3 nearby parking garages. Definitely would come back."
"We stayed at The Lane for 3 nights. The first night my husband and I didn’t have a great experience due to a couple of reasons: the room was smaller than we thought - we hardly fit our two suitcases in there, there was only one blanket which was very thick and warm - which we weren’t used to, the mini fridge was quite loud and on the ceiling there was a green emergency light which lit up the entire room once it was dark out. HOWEVER, and this is very important: the staff was extremely friendly, understanding and helpful! We talked to them about our “issues” the next morning and they provided us with a thinner blanket, put something over the green light so we could sleep and told us to turn off the mini fridge over night. So nights 2&3 were great thanks to their amazing service! We decided to give 4/5 stars because while the rooms were very stylish, clean and comfy, they were a tad too small for us and our luggage. And one thing we noticed was that when our next door neighbours would use their coffee machine our shared wall would vibrate. The location of this place is unbeatable, you’re super close to Eyre Square and within walking distance to all the bars and restaurants. Plus it’s very close to the train station. And yes, the shower truly IS amazing! So overall, this place is a good deal and you can trust the staff that they will do what they can to make your stay worthwhile."
