"Nice countryside location used for Cheshire oaks and Chester zoo. Room was fine but at 730am I had to fetch shower gel from reception. It was bought quickly. Breakfast had been booked the night before. As we walked in it was chaotic, very busy and choices not refilled. Not to the standard of Premier breakfast on any of our previous visits to other locations. We ordered hot breakfast which took over 40 minutes to arrive. Staff were friendly, but no apology was given. I hope this was a one off. Delayed our day and our departure. Fingers crossed this doesn't happen again for others."
"The standard you would expect from a Premier Inn. The rooms do look very tired and dated and could desperately benefit from a refurb. When I first entered the room, it was sweltering hot (33 degrees on the thermostat) and the heater seemed to be stuck on. Luckily it could be isolated at the wall and it stayed this way for the remainder of my stay. The room had all the standard amenities: TV, hairdryer, desk, storage, mirror etc. The pub next door for breakfast is a Greene King, not one from the Whitbread chain, so expect options to be more limited. The standard of breakfast was a little less than typical Premier Inn breakfasts (especially the sausages) probably for the same reason. Breakfast has to be pre-booked; the latest they serve is 8.45 which I found too early for my needs. It is served in a dull conference room in the back, not the main pub. Overall okay for a business trip but would not stay here for leisure."
"Room was OK. We opted for full breakfasts but, they came over cooked and the bacon was actually burnt and the egg yolk was solid. Difficult to spoil eggs and bacon I would think!"
"Room was adequate for a single night. There was quite alot of noise from doors and other guests. Food was lovely at the attached pub. Only continental breakfast which was basically only toast. Not alot of choice."
"Rooms are a little dated, but clean and comfortable....apart from the mattresses which are way too soft! Mobile data signal is terrible in this place, like being in a metal box! Food at the pub was the main reason I stayed here. Alas the fish I had was more batter than fish, way too heavy! Breakfast was nice in the morning, although it surely can't be that hard to improve the coffee on offer, which were sachet packets."
