"Came here for some plants and ended up getting some brunch. Short enough queue for the cafe, unfortunately the host tried to give our table away not once but twice while we were both up at the till choosing what to get as there’s no menus. Would suggest they give you the number to leave when you’re being seated rather than after you order so they know which tables are unavailable and the server can take the number when they bring your food. They had run out of the florentine, French toast and pancakes by 12pm on a Saturday which made me question whether or not the food was cooked to order or reheated. We got the last of the pancakes and they arrived less than 10 mins after ordering so again not sure if they were microwaved or cooked fresh. They were nice anyway, not too sweet and flavourful but wouldn’t go out of my way to return. Went to pay for some things and the extra large plant pot we picked up was ringing in at an extra tenner, only for I questioned it we’d have been overcharged. Had to wait for a manager to come over who warned the cashier to watch out for this brand so they clearly knew there was a problem and were happy to let the overcharge go through rather than ensure staff were briefed before going on tills. The place is more expensive on average for common items (plant feed for example) compared to other garden stores so would research and compare before coming here to ensure you’re not ripped off, rather than show up and impulse buy."
"Went in to look for suitable plants for a grave, for a special lady with a mother to grieve, on her birthday anniversary. We didn't get the man's name but he was so helpful, we ended up getting two on special offer and also a memorial stone carving. Highly recommend. The Orchard always smells delightful too; if you're searching for Christmas decorations, lots of half price offers on sale currently. Friendly staff members and a good feeling about the place."
"Garden Centre is very good, but sadly, the lovely Cafe is still not back to what it used to be. We all loved the old cafe and we were regular visitors to it as the perfect place to have lunch or a cuppa and a cake. We are really longing for it to reopen fully!"
"Always lovely visiting here especially at this time of year. Great range of autumnal decorations and selection of pumpkins"
"Lovely store, amazing selection of plants, shrubs and trees as well as pots for your garden or patio. The furniture section has some gorgeous things as well. An all around great experience."
