"We stayed in Ash Cottage from 2/9-9//9/2022. We had a lovely relaxing stay. The cottage was spotless . Booking of the gym and pool was really easy by email with a quick response from the owners , who were very accommodating, not only in this regard but also the two disabled people in our party.We had no issues with the booking system for pool and hot tub of 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the afternoon , as this meant the facilities could not be taken up by one party staying there all day,and we also had sole use in our chosen time slot .If you are looking for a relaxing holiday with an indoor and outdoor pool AND hot tub for your sole use then this is the place for you . Would highly recommend"

"This was our 4th visit to Trehill and won't be our last. First time staying in Beech and the added private use of the indoor pool and hot tub made our stay even more special. Lovely views over the top lake and rolling Cornish views beyond. Great hosts, great location for us, just an all round perfect place."

"Absolutely lovely setting, great place for families with children. Accommodation as described with idyllic view of the fishing pond. Owls Roost is close to the other cottage but there is a dividing wall that gives privacy. The upside of having neighbours is that the children found friends to play with. Swimming pool is easy to book, it is not very deep and can be great for teaching a child to swim. Games room, childrens playground, hot tub - lots of things to do and enjoy without even going anywhere. There are a few nice places to visit nearby as well."

"The accommodation itself is stunning. Beautiful views, good location and the potential to be a relaxing place to spend your holiday. This relaxation however, was spoilt by the owner of the cottages. Throughout our week stay, she made our family group of 12 feel uncomfortable, completely unrelaxed and watched us the whole time. She was rude and abrupt, not attributes a host should have. On one occasion, she even lied about our music being ‘too loud and disturbing the fishermen’ to which she hadn’t realised those ‘fishermen’ were a part of our group and had very clearly not complained like she had said. The initial idea of the booking system seemed like a fair way for people to get their turn in the pool and gym etc. however when she very rudely disturbed one of our guests during his hour gym slot to remind him ‘his session was only an hour’ when there was very clearly no one waiting to go in after him, I question the reason behind the booking system. Overall, the cottages have the potential to be a beautiful stay during your holidays. Unfortunately, the female owner makes it nearly impossible to feel relaxed and comfortable and so for this reason, I would not recommend this place."

"Easy to book, great communication. Simple to find, just let ourselves in on arrival. Cottage clean and warm with everything you could need. Beautiful and peaceful setting. Husband fished the lake every day and was delighted with the size and number of fish he caught. Hot tub a lovely bonus. We will definitely be returning."
