"I use the Hub all the time, it’s a useful community space. The Hub’s run by a small team who are so friendly and helpful - the staff are a credit to Cardiff Council. You can borrow books from here, there’s an excellent selection of children’s books in both English and Welsh for a range of ages. If you have a library card, then your card can be cloned at the desk to set up a library account so your child can borrow books. There’s a selection of fiction and general interest books too. You can reserve books online from other Cardiff libraries and collect them from here, which is really useful. The Hub’s handy for recycling. As well as being able to pick up green recycling bags and food recycling bags, you can also recycle items here, such as tetra cartons, batteries, small electrical items and old school uniforms. It’s also a drop-off point to donate to Cardiff food bank. A lot of support services are provided at the hub, so it’s worth checking out what’s on offer. There’s a registrar based here for an afternoon each week, which I’ve recently used and it’s handy to have this here. There’s also lots of activities, like story time for little ones. The Cardiff North Dementia Service is based here too. The community hall has some activities, we go to the Taekwondo classes here which are great. During these difficult times, the Hub can also be used free for those who need a warm space. There’s also a nice cafe, Lews in the Hub. There’s a stand for Ovo bikes outside. Some parking’s available at the Hub."
"My 3 year old and I went there for a few half term events this week, from story time and crafting to Mike Church the entertainer. Absolutely amazing. Friendly helpful staff and fabulous area for children. Thank you!"
"The nice place, used to be the public library there and still you can sit and read some old fashion books which has been left here. Now there is the Hub where you can get an professional advice for the tenants. Also they have a couple of heavy duty laser printers, so you can print all necessary documents on a place. The stuff is polite and always give a hand to help with filling out the forms. But the best thing is the coffee shop, where people who live in the area can come and meet the other human, also you can use the computer workstations or use the free WiFi."
"Very helpful staff. Provide such a wonderful service to the locals and further afield. Great Hub, such great support. Use it a lot and a great source of help and assistance Fab place"
"I Had filled out a housing benefit form for a family member and sent it off via royal mail and when I had called Cardiff council they advised my best bet was to go to the nearest hub I tried to call to book an appointment but was advised just to walk in, I did dread this as I was with my 1 year old and he can be a bit of a nightmare when he's bored waiting I went to the hub on a Wednesday at 3pm and was pleasantly surprised the wait was only 10 minutes A gentleman I believe he said his name was Christian (so sorry if I'm wrong) sat with me and blew my mind with his knowledge, he went through absolutely EVERYTHING with me and even advised on another government scheme that could help my family member I will always go to this hub from now on for help with dreaded forms Really lovely staff there and a clean, quiet and friendly place"
