"Helped with my claustrophobia"
"I have encountered really poor experience with this unprofessional specialist. After waiting for my appointment for a month and spending one hour talking about my issues i have received no feedback at all. When trying to book a second session i was told that “the area of my problems falls outside of the area of Peters expertise” and was not provided with any report or professional feedback while still getting a bill for the first session during which the doctor basically had an opportunity to decide for himself that he cant help me. Very disappointing experience. After over 5 attempts to get any sort of review/feedback/support/report/explanation i was denied any sort of communication. Would not recommend using the services of this therapist."
"I had nothing but negative experiences with this man. Having being recommended CBT by multiple professionals I decided to go ahead with it. Aiming to avoid the lengthy NHS waiting list, I opted to go down the private route. I arranged my first session with Peter and was eager to get started but around this time I was showing corona virus symptoms so I contacted Peter, admittedly the same day but early in the morning to let him know my situation and mentioned that government advice and legislation at the time was to self isolate if showing any symptoms. Peter agreed this was the right course of action and we arranged another session further down the line. We had arranged to meet in person, which was no longer a possibility as we reached the date due to government imposed lockdown. I got a phone call from Peter an hour later than the proposed appointment (which was booked to be in person not over the phone) where he suggested that we had our first appointment over the phone, I reluctantly agreed despite it being an hour late and not in person, understanding that it was not his fault our appointment couldn’t take place as planned due to lockdown. Towards the end of the phone call, we arranged another appointment with the understanding that lockdown would be over by the arranged date and that the appointment would take place in person in his office. A week or so later I receive an invoice from Peter, billing me for the first session which didn’t end up taking place, along with the last minute phone appointment which he sprung on me. I am only young (18 at the time) and suffer from multiple learning difficulties and mental health issues, so didn’t know how to deal with this at the time so did leave the invoice for a bit of time whilst I tried to figure out what to do. A few weeks down the line I receive another invoice. This invoice included the 3rd session which was booked to be in person which couldn’t happen anyway because of lockdown. I had no missed calls meaning that Peter to my knowledge did not attempt to phone me either. Which wouldn’t have made much difference as I was told the appointment would happen in person and did not agree to a phone consultation. I decided to wait until after lockdown to resolve the situation as I wasn’t sure much could be done. Part of the issue was due to me not checking my emails often enough, but Peter despite having my number made no effort to contact me by phone but instead contacted a debt collection agency which sent me texts and letters to my door. Trying to get me to pay for the first appointment that didn’t and couldn’t happen due to corona virus legislation. The second appointment which he rescheduled last minute to a phone appointment (which was also 1 hour late) and the 3rd appointment which couldn’t happen due to lockdown still being in place. This is not the kind of behaviour you would expect from a man who is supposed to be helping and supporting people with mental health issues. I feel as though he took advantage of me and my situation and has further delayed my recovery. I have since began receiving therapy on the NHS which I have to say is considerably better than what Peter offered me and has rebuilt my trust in therapy. THE BOTTOM LINE IS, I WAS BILLED FOR 2 APPOINTMENTS THAT DIDN'T AND COULDN'T TAKE PLACE DUE TO GOVERNMENT CORONA VIRUS LEGISLATION. Peters actions towards me were selfish, thoughtless and cruel and inconsiderate especially considering I cut him some slack with the one appointment we did end up having.I don’t recommend anybody to give this man the time of day. Go else where. EDIT: Please notice how this 'professional' is trying to deny the events. Who in their right mind would write a review of this detail and length to tarnish the name of somebody they don't know. The fake reviews are the ones that magically popped up from brand new accounts on the same day I left mine. Pathetic behaviour from a grown man."
