"I have a diagnosis of emotionally unstable personality disorder and I've suffered lots of childhood trauma and Eva knew this. It's been a long time since I saw Eva. I saw her for a few sessions, a few years ago. I remember her making some critical comments which looking back were unusual for a therapist to make, maybe saying I talk too fast or too much? Something to do with that. I had a lot of faith in her in the beginning. And I remember how we ended was was with a session ending with me being very overwhelmed and upset. Eva told me harshly I needed to go because she had her next client even though I was crying, distressed and far away from home. I was in a vulnerable place in my life at the time and this pushed me over the edge and back to being suicidal and I spent the night thinking about ways to kill myself, something I had not done in at least a year which was real progress for me. I have not been in that place since. I wanted to leave a review immediately but I was too emotional to write one at the time. Her clinic popped up on Google maps from when I had it saved from when I used to travel there and it brought back all the feelings and I felt ready to write about it"
"It's been over a year since my last session with Eva - and I can definitively say that she's changed my life for the better. Working with Eva has had a transformative impact on every aspect of my life, from personal to professional. Eva has my highest recommendation."
"I did not like Eva’s approach to therapy with me. I reiterated verbally and in writing, before meeting her via email, during sessions verbally, and afterwards via email, that I did not want to continue talking about the traumatic events I had experienced – indeed, this reinforces neural connections in the brain about said trauma and makes them more “real” – but that I had wanted to get stuck into the EMDR process itself sooner rather than later. Despite my obvious requests and reiterations of the desire to move on to EMDR, instead of labouring over the traumatic events, I felt this reasonable request was ignored – so, £330 down we continued to talk for three sessions with no introduction to EMDR. I did not feel like my requests for tailored specific therapy were adhered to and I left shortly after the third session. Thankfully, my current therapist listened to what I had to say about the process and we swiftly moved onto the EMDR process itself with little in depth talk of the trauma I had experienced. I am not sure why Eva decided to prolong the practice of talking about the events, instead of getting on to the EMDR swiftly. I understand different therapists have different approaches to therapy but her emphasis on talking was not explained to me. Had I known we would have spent such a long time talking I would not have chosen her as a therapist. I can only think that she was attempting to draw out the process to make more money in keeping me there for longer. Obviously I have no way of proving this, but if true is very unethical. The fact that my request was ignored was obviously a red flag."
"Eva is a very dedicated and genuine therapist. It was clear from the beginning that she genuinely cared about me and wanted to help, which as a client puts you immediately at ease. Her emotion-focused therapy found unique ways to look at the problems I was experiencing, while the EMDR helped me work through some acute situations that had been holding me back. Eva's insightful and sensitive approach helped me through a difficult time."
"Eva is an excellent therapist. She has a wide range of techniques and knowledge and has helped me find my clarity and strength again. Be willing to let her use whatever technique she feels is right. I originally came to Eva for EMDR, which really helped me with past trauma, but her treatment evolved and changed in a fluid way depending on what we were talking about. I could not recommend her more highly."
