"This used to be an excellent practice, and the GPs still are. The admin, however, is seriously under par. I was pleased to be offered a same day, face to face GP appointment this week after reporting symptoms of potential TIA. The GP said l would receive an urgent appointment at Southmead. When I heard nothing I phoned the Southmead team, to be told that all of the essential information required for triage was missing from the referral, and they had received no reply when they emailed the surgery. I notified the surgery myself, and was assured that the information would be sent that day. It wasn't, and I had to chase up again today before speaking to an admin person who finally sent it. Instead of being seen within a day or two for a condition which is a "red flag" for stroke, I will have waited a week. I do understand that the NHS is overburdened and short-staffed, but for heaven's sake, urgent means urgent - please prioritise!"

"This is the best practice that I’ve ever been with by far. Every GP I have ever seen or spoken has been fantastic, incredibly professional and empathetic. I feel like they always really listen to you and are incredibly thorough with any problem no matter what it is. I have always been able to get an one the day appointment if I need one, and most of the reception staff that I have spoken to have been lovely too. "I have been waiting on my medication for over 4 months. The first time I called, they hadn’t received my letter from the psychiatrist. The second time I called, I got to a point where I couldn’t leave my bed and had to quit my job due to my mental health issues and was told there wasn’t even a record of me being sent to a psychiatrist. I was prescribed my medication a few days later. But guess what! The pharmacy didn’t have my prescription! I then spoke to a very rude receptionist who gave me my code, and sent me on my way. I gave the pharmacy my code, but guess what! The medication dose doesn’t exist in that medication. All I’ve been left on is that I *might* get a call back but that they’ll let the GP know. No appointment to fix it, nothing."

"The best clinic I’ve ever been registered with. Receptionists are great and patient, every time I come or call I feel very welcome. Doctors are incredibly professional and kind. It feels like everyone is ready to go an extra mile and do what they can to help you. It’s a great place for mental health too and I feel that can be quite rare."

"The doctors are good but it is impossible to get an appointment. You have to ring exactly at 8 for a chance to get on the queue, but the system does not work- it is either a busy line or simply rings without doing anything. It’s really stressful to not be able to access help."
