"Went for veneers two years later I have a full upper mouth plastic denture at 30. Stomach is wrecked. Self confidence low and limited taste. Absolutely devastated. All due to failed root canals that were infected. If I had more confidence I would add pictures of the work."

"If you are the carer for a vulnerable person avoid this practice at all costs. I was left shocked, upset and very angry by my experience with this practice. I have been the carer for my son for over 22 years. He has a brain malformation and several disabilities (mental and physical) and is virtually housebound. All of which information was given to the practice prior to his appointments. He waited months for treatment only to have appointment cancelled just 2 days before as the dentist could not remember which treatment he required! No apology or explanation has ever been given for this. Even though I could remember and was able to provide this information my word was not accepted. My son then had to attend for a second check up only to be told what we already knew. This caused additional stress and expense and resulted in his treatment being delayed for a further 2 months. At his last appointment the attitude of the dentist and his manner when addressing me was both perplexing and upsetting. My son was made to feel extremely uncomfortable at what was already a very stressful time for him. Indeed his first words to me on the way home were "I hated that mum, it was awful". This was the first time in 16 years he had managed to attend for dental treatment after his previous dentist retired. This experience will make it very difficult for him to have confidence in or trust another dentist in the future and I bitterly regret choosing this practice for my son."

"been a patient here for 20 years then covid hit so no checkups for 2 years nor any reminder when covid restrictions lifted, now when i need a dentist for a tooth extraction im told there are no appts cos they are busy ! and i was basically told off that i had not been there since 2020 im not happy at all wont be going back there, im asking for extraction because of pain (obviously) absolutely ridiculous im also taking this further"

After finally facing my fear and sitting down, it was a great experience. The team I had were lovely, they were considerate of my phobia and comforting. They let me feel in control of the process and I'm actually kinda looking forward to going back in 6 months."

I always feel a little nervous when going to the dentist due to some bad experiences in the past at other dental practices yet the team at Govan Dental Care is brilliant. They have a strong focus on person centred care and it really feels like they care for your input and listen to your priorities and concerns as a patient. I've seen Andy at a few appointments now and he's an excellent dentist with great communication. Very grateful to have registered with them last year."
