"Avoid - Only want Money!! This vet when it was independent used to be the best of the best, since moving to the medi vet franchise it’s main priority is money making and not what’s in the best interest of the pet. Wanting to always have follow up and unnecessary appointments to charge a consultation fee. I inherited my mums dog on her passing, she was at the time 11 years old, she was not insured and was too old to insure going forward. Regardless i ensured she was spayed, had an operation to remove a breast mammory lump removed, a couple of ear infections and an out of hours assessment which has cost in excess of 1000 pound. Not an issue as long as the dog is well and healthy. My dog has recently had her ear infection reoccurred, so on contacting the vets to ask for some repeat medication that was provided 4months ago and was seen 3 months previously, they would not provide anything without you guessed it a visit and an initial charge of £40 and then again another charge of £40 for a follow up! The reception lady was very rude, did not want to help, and would not listen! I said that the dog was seen in October and Nov and was prescribed this medication in October and it worked so I would prefer to try that again first before paying for further consultations when the last prescription cleared it up. Because I did not pay for a follow up on the October visit but paid for an out of hours visit in November where she was given a full check, the vet would not prescribe anything without another visit. I explained that people do not have a pocket full of money to keep chucking at the vets for unnecessary visits when they have the full history and had already seen the pet 2 in the last 5 months, would it not be possible to try the ear drops first and then if they don’t work bring the dog in for further investigation? The receptionists did not want to listen to it, was not bothered about the pets interest and could quite frankly not give a dam! They just want the money! Would not provided me with a copy of the previously issued prescription that I was provided 4 months ago to allow me to purchase on line, even though legally it says they have to. I have raised this via their complaints process and will be taking it to the highest level for investigation. However I want to express to others and in this is no longer the independent vets that used to put the pet and customers first instead is now a money making franchise who wants to line their pockets first and animals health second! This is my opinion and I will let you make up your own mind! If I could give 0 stars then I would have!"

"Took my new puppy here and I can honestly say they were great,when I went in to see the vet she sat on the floor with my dog until she felt comfortable, I would reccomend this vets to anyone"

"Great service from the vets on treating and diagnosing our dog! Made us feel assured and got us the treatment required. 5* for the vets! The 1 star…I would give 0 if it was possible is for the reception staff. They are very short when calling. I thought it was just me, however when attending the vets I whitenesses their rude and behaviour when taking other calls. No idea what has resulted in their approach to clients, however it left us feeling very frustrated after each call to the vets."
