"Welcome back to the Farmyard! Re-opened and now spruced up and with a great menu. We enjoyed Steak and Ale pie with lovely chips, good veg, plenty of tasty gravy and top rate pastry. Timothy Taylor Landlord on tap and very easy listening, quiet, music. Nothing to complain about. And a complimentary treat for the dog too! Well done Richard and team."

"Popped in for Sunday lunch. A lovely country pub atmosphere with open fire blazing. We were made to feel really welcome by staff and customers too. Food was beautiful and arrived quickly. My husband had the beef, whilst I had the pork both of which were beautiful. We will go back again and highly recommend."

"Everything was delicious and you get a huge portion! Potatoes in the Sunday roast were excellent - beautifully salty and spiced. The landlord was very friendly and so was the barwoman, very chatty and welcoming. Lovely atmosphere too - a really nice warm fire and a friendly atmosphere."

"I've been told by my good lady to score this place highly we'd never been before but the atmosphere was great. The banter from the staff and the locals was welcoming and it felt like we were local too. The food was good the good lady ate it all and trust me that says a lot. The question is would we go back if we were in the area "yes" is the answer..."

"During a house hunting trip over 4 days, I had the pleasure to stay in The Stables which was very comfortable and great for a peaceful nights sleep.Each morning I enjoyed a hearty English breakfast, wonderfully cooked by Richard, the new landlord, who was only too pleased to ensure I had a wonderful stay. Each afternoon upon my return, I was greeted with a friendly smile and enjoyed some wonderful beers chatting to Chloe and Richard and the locals who made me feel very welcome.
