"This is an awesome Hostel. Really great location, super close to kings cross station. The facilities are really modern and clean. Beds are great, showers and really good. My only critique or thing i think could really improve this place is the lounge room on level 1. It’s not a very comfy area, i think this hostel could be a 10/10 if this area was improved, if it had like some couches or bean bags, it would encourage it to be more of a social area or area for people to go hang, mingle or meet eachother. Lots of people staying in hostels often want/like the social aspect of a hostel which i feel a solid lounge room area helps create this!"
"Well I just tried the cafe over here. Nice coffee, very economical, good cakes but not a great deal of variety.Just about okay, can incorporate more variety. Service was brilliant first time around but subsequent visits have been just okay. Sometimes you know some people have hard long days and it just oozes from their demeanour...We all have those kind of days hope they can better that, the customer service is profoundly vital to keep the allegiance intact...... Well a good cafe nonetheless."
"Honestly the only thing that this YHA location has going for it is its location (as they're located across the street from St. Pancras). The check-in process was quick and the staff member who checked us in answered all of our questions. The room we stayed in however wasn't the best. I know that it wasn't going to be fancy as I've stayed at other YHA locations before but the fact that you don't have a table to rest your belongings on is weird. There are no chairs available either, just a locker for your belongings and the bunk bed. We didn't manage to get an ensuite room so we had to use the group bathroom but it was clean. The one thing that should be clarified on the website is that there's no space to store food you've brought with you and that there's no self-catering kitchen. I was aware of the latter and not the former so it was disappointing as one of the main reasons I stay in hostels is to save money, not spending more of it (to spend on meals made by the staff). In the future, this location should consider replacing the laundry room with a kitchen or area to store food because I'd definitely choose a hostel where I can cook vs. cleaning my clothes. The price per night is rather high for what you are (and are not) receiving. So, TL;DR: if you need a place to stay for one night, near a Tube station, and are okay with spending $ for meals, stay here. Otherwise, look elsewhere."
"The rooms are basic, as is expected, but very good nonetheless. The staff is excellent, the rooms are clean, and the price is very good, especially for central London. No surprises. If you're looking for a simple but reliable place to stay, YHA is highly recommended."
"I love this hostel. Friendly staff, clean rooms with attached bath rooms, close proximity to King’s Cross - St Pancreas station - all for a low per-day price. Each bed has its own plug and 2 USB-A ports for easy charging. Each room has a heater and fan. The 5.95£ breakfast has a lot of variety and is a good choice. There is a wall of thank yous and recommendations. It’s a good place to hunt for your next place to go. Overall, it’s a warm and comfortable place to spend a few nights."
