"After the first night of my first stay at this hotel, I have to tell you I'm really warming up to the property. Important to contrast, I usually visit London and stay on the north side of the Thames. This first overnight on the south and east side is proving to be very acceptable. Now about the Dixon in particular... I have seen several reviews site. A lack of hospitable service from the front desk and others that can be not farther from the truth in my initial check-in experience warm and welcoming staff not only expeditiously checked me in. Saw to an upgraded room and insisted on helping guide me to the elevator and overall very positive and endearing experience. The lobby as my included pictures demonstrate is outstanding. The integration of the historic property with modern touches is intriguing. And while I had initial concerns about noise level, given that my room faced immediately onto the major thoroughfare slept wonderfully. As of time of this writing, I have not utilized food and beverage on property. So I cannot speak to the level of performance of staff or robust quality of the dining experience. But I give this location a hardy five stars."
"One of the best things about this hotel is location. Just a few minutes walk to Tower Bridge. In front of the hotel there is a bus stop but also place to pull over the cabs/Uber safely. There are some bars and restaurants on the walking distance from hotel. The room was clean and about the right size. I had a problem with AC(don't want to start) and shower (button not working) at least once a day. The size was perfect for the two of us. The bed was comfortable and room had all I need. Hotel has a restaurant for a breakfast and for my taste its 3/5 not that great offer. There is a bar on the premises which is great if you don't want to go out. Staff was mostly helpful but they seems to be not greatly organized. Overall I had a nice experience at the Dixon."
"We stayed on a weekend in a fairly standard room. The room is really well equipped including walk in shower. The room is on the small side but really good use of space. It's an interesting building, converted from a courthouse and just down the road from Tower Bridge (we could see part of the bridge from our room). Very impressive entrance hall. The staff were great and very responsive by email when we were confirming our booking."
"Gorgeous hotel to stay in and truly unlike other Marriott hotels in London. The lobby alone makes you fall in love with the hire. Rooms were clean, well designed and spacious. Sleeping was good too! Very comfy bed and pillows, but the noise insulation from the main door could be better as we heard the cleaning staff every morning and they weren’t being particularly loud either."
"Great little hotel, really close to Tower Bridge, walkable to Tower of London. Convenient access to London Bridge station. The staff was very accommodating, as we arrived at 2 am on the weekend of the Queen's funeral, they were able to make us a light sandwich. The room was clean and modern, the hotel itself has a one of a kind style. The main front entry doesn't have a ramp, at least none that I can see, so taking our heavy luggage up and down the steps were a bit challenging. Regardless, I would stay here again."
