"A lovely little boutique hotel. Friendly staff who let me choose which room I wanted. The rooms themselves are nice and modern. Nicer than bog standard bedding. Appreciated the complimentary biscuits and slippers! Also really liked how there was a fridge in the room!"
"Great place for a short stay in London. Very close to High Kensington Street tube station and bus stop. Rooms are probably too small and I am not sure how two people would fit in. Luckily I was alone and an occasional bump into my suitcase was not a problem. It came with a reasonable price for a London hotel. As a bonus, it is located in a very quiet street, cleaning service is impeccable. The bed was super comfy and I loved it came with 6 pillows :) Carrying heavy suitcases could be a challenge as the stairs are quite steep and narrow due to architecture styles in yhe past."
"WARNING: FRAUD! Check-in is no later than 21:00. Checking in after this is NOT POSSIBLE UNLESS YOU PAY A FEE OF £100-200!!!! Without an invoice, of course. ;-) This is fraud and we will report it. Pure cheek!"
"Terrible experience. Never again. Despite being perfectly located (heart of kensington) and with nice and clean rooms, in this hotel I had the worst experience ever! Staff is rude, arrogant, totally customer "unfriendly" and unfair. Here my experience. I arrive at the hotel in the afternoon, before 9 pm which is the absolutely not negotiable time for the check-in (otherwise u are not allowed to get in, no matter what). I have paid my room before my arrival but, as stated in the confirmation, I have to leave 100£ deposit to be paid either by cash or by card. I offered 3 types of cards (amex, prepaid Mastercard and Contactless Visa) but none of them was accepted. Incredibly the receptionist tells me that they don't accept Contactless card! (Hard to believe actually, considering that in London also street musicians do have contactless pos). As a consequence the only option is to go and withdraw money from a bank, paying obviously the bank's fee for not UK residents. I finally came back with the money hoping everything to be over, when the lady tells me that I can get my money back the following day, after 9. I tell her that I have to leave early and that I cannot wait until 9. She quietly answer that If I want my money back I have to wait until 9 and that no exception will be done. I ask to talk with the hotel owner but the answer is no. I try to convince her with any possible explanations (return flight already booked) but no way. To get my money back I decide to change my plans, but I promised her that I would do whatever possible to avoid other potential customers to have the same experience as mine. And here I am. But looking at other Google reviews I am not the only one! Keep away from this hotel!"
"My husband and I stayed at this hotel for five nights, and we can't understand how it has been rated as a 4-star hotel. The location was great with walking distance to both shops, restaurants and the tube, but the hotel itself had some shortcomings. Firstly it has no lift, and with our room being on the fourth floor this was a bit annoing. The rooms were not adequately sound-proofed, and we could hear snoring, conversation and the TV from the neighbouring rooms. The reseption is only open from 09:00 to 21:00. The water-pressure was practically nonexistant, and the towels smelled like chlorine. The rooms were small, although modern and clean. We've both stayed at 3-star hotels with much better accommodations."
