"My wife & daughter stayed here, for the weekend. It's close to all amenities & comfortably central to all connections of where they needed to go. They would have stayed with family who live in the area but as it's a rented property with two others, who own it. It would have been cramped. All in all they had a nice stay, very clean, tidy, and the staff were friendly to. Great selection of breakfast. Will definitely stay again. Thankyou"
"Trains run through part of the night and pass to the rear of the hotel. The room and hotel was clean and ok. The area has shops etc and good transport links close by. Staff were very good and pleasant , even at breakfast time when it was challenging for them. There is no longer a lighter breakfast option so we had the full breakfast. The hotel now has a number of long term residents (possibly waiting to be given a home) who sometimes come for breakfast in their nightwear. Some take their breakfast to their rooms which means that crockery and cutlery are in short supply. Eating part of my cooked breakfast with a spoon was frustrating. As was waiting for the dishwasher to finish so a cereal bowl was available. The coffee machine was only partially working and the same for the orange juice machine. Sometimes a carton was available. Fruit salad was sometimes there. If we stayed again we'd eat breakfast elsewhere."
"The beds were comfortable, we stayed for 11 days. We noticed after the first two days that no one comes in to do turn down service. It was the cheapest option we could find so I can't complain too much. I did expect the family suite to at least have a microwave and a mini fridge, that made the 11 days a bit tough. The staff was great but it seems like they the franchise only gives them a little bit of access inside the computer system. We have problems with our pre paid wifi and there wasn't much reception could do to help. They were extremely nice which made things a bit better. We didn't get fresh sheet during our stay and if you wanted toilet paper or towels you had to go to reception. Our sink drained very slow as well which made it hard to clean after shaving. All in all it was a warm dry comfortable bed a reasonable rate."
"I really hate to leave negative reviews, but this really is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I have stayed in hostels and campgrounds with better hygiene and more helpful staff. I was sharing a twin room with a family member and I arrived in the afternoon, whilst they had arrived that morning and expanded I was coming to collect my key card that day. The information was never passed on, even though there was someone who had supposedly been there at check in from 7am. I wasn’t let into the room for a long while and the team were incredibly rude to me. When I was finally let into the hotel, the guest corridors were filthy, as was the lift, which didn’t reach the 2nd floor as it was broken. The corridors had a horrible smell, like damp and cigarettes. The room smelled even worse. The carpet was so damp it was nearly sopping wet, it had black mould growing all over the walls and ceiling. We happened to be in the disabled access room and I pity who had to use the shower seat which was totally covered in mould. The shower wasn’t clean, there was no hand gel in the dispenser and the towels were dirty. The room was also incredibly hot, despite it being nearly winter, and the AC was broken. The window opens about half an inch but our room was delightfully over the bins outside, so it wasn’t a particularly refreshing way to let air in. It was very noisy being so close to the train line. Also the walls are really thin so you could hear the fire doors slamming into walls in the corridors and people in the adjoining and upstairs rooms. It’s also not in the best location. It’s not far from the tube, but there isn’t much else in the area. For food/drink. I didn’t have the breakfast at the hotel as I felt uncomfortable eating somewhere I felt was so unclean. There is also a ‘bar’ which is just a cooler behind the reception desk with a few bottles of wine and beer in it. I suppose it might be there mostly to host football fans, as there is a stadium nearby. The whole hotel just seemed filthy and could do with a total do-over. If I had known about the Premier Inn down the road I would have insisted on going there. The Finsbury Park Travel lodge is absolutely the worst hotel stay I’ve ever had, and I really am not fussy! I was just hoping for a clean, basic space for a two day work trip, but I dreaded going back there each evening! Please save your money and go somewhere a bit nicer!"
"My friend is at present living here as well as a lot of the areas homeless being put here for at least a year before they are being housed . But my friend's room is clean spacious and has a nice size bathroom with a wet room shower. The room is cleaned daily to as far as I can tell high standard . Each morning a cooked full English breakfast is available as well as a choice of cereals, toast, an coffee, tea , hot chocolate, fresh orange juice an many others. Also a evening meal is available at a couple of different times ."
