"I spent 7 hours waiting at this UTC recently, and it was one of the most traumatising experience I have ever had. The place was so full to the point where people had to sit on the floor. There was rubbish everywhere, the toilets were filthy, no paper towel, people were on top of each other…I gave two stars because the doctors and nurses are trying to do their best but in reality it deserves no stars. This facility is run worse than some of the third world facilities I have seen in Asia. It’s disgusting that a private company can get away with this and this is funded by the taxpayer. I wouldnt be surprised if I had come home with some infections picked up there cos hygene seems to be unheard of. This is endangering the lives of people! Avoid if you can!"
"I went with my daughter with acute respiratory problem I never have seen the standard of service fall to such disgusting levels. First and foremost the place was littered with used tissue bottles rubbish on the floor and seating areas. Hygiene levels in the toilets were filthy to point where the seats were disgusting, wet floors with used tissues everywhere. Waiting time was minimum of three hours which I was told when I walked in but it was well above that. This UTC is a tax payer funded organisation run by a private company who simply are not fit for purpose and i am pretty sure not even meeting the basic CQC levels of standards required. This company really needs to re evaluate its ethics and put patients needs and standards of primary health care first above profit."
"This is the worst place to take your little baby for anything! My baby had severe coughing, blocked nose and very high temperature. We waited 1 hour to get seen by a nurse who only took his details then was sent to the Urgent treatment centre which was more like a homeless shelter. Smelly, dirty and cold place to be with a baby. Waited another 1.5 hours to be seen just to be told “oh he’s just got a minor virus, just take him home and he will be ok”, when my husband confronted the nurse then she started making some progress by saying she wants to get a second opinion so sent us back to the kids A&E which was another waste of time! Long story short, went there for no reason."
"Absolutely disappointed with Urgent care they need to change the name it is no way urgent they make u wait over 3 hours they don’t priories children what so ever! My 9 week baby had chicken pox and they made me wait 3 hours and then the receptionist says I have to wait outside in the cold because my child has chicken pox! I kept explaining it’s already in the air as u made us wait this long what’s the point in me waiting outside now! Something desperately needs to change about these ridiculous waiting time because so many sick people just walk out because the length of waiting time."
"I got an infection from a cut on my kneecap, that could potentially be sepsis. I was sent to Urgent Care via 111 and A&E, only to be told that I wouldn’t be seen, as I wasn’t on their “list” and told me to go back to A&E. I said I’d indeed been sent there from A&E and 111. The young man said that I wasn’t (didn’t take my D.o.B or any personal info), and said no one was going to see me. Doesn’t exactly fill me with hope."
