"If thinking of sending your loved ones here please THINK AGAIN!! No compassion or duty of care,Extremely rude staff, , No communication between staff or with patients or family members… ward staff are BULLYS physically abusing heavily sedated vulnerable patients who can’t stand up for themselves as they are not listened to and called Liars! (All on camera) on a daily basis . Once discharged no Suport or after care offered just left to get on with life as a vulnerable patient.. Will definitely be speaking with the CQC, NHS Ombudsman and ICB with names of every member of staff with what I have witnessed Absolutely DISGRACEFUL!"
"They brought my daughter back from a very dark place within 6 weeks, still a small way to go but I am eternally grateful to al Doctors and carers. You have to be a special person to do this kind of work. Seen the other reviews but my experience is very positive, thought I had lost her. An addition to my review - if you have a relative or loved one that has a mental condition, medication is key. My daughter came back to me briefly but decided nothing was wrong so threw her medication away. That’s the biggest self destructive part about schizophrenia in whatever form it lands at your door, the patient thinks they’re fine it’s the rest of society that’s not well."
"horrible people and disgusting atmosphere. this is an environment where abusers get to legally hurt people and get PAID for it. restrained and sedated for standing up for herself. assaulted and humiliated. left with bruises from restraints and being thrown around. no patient privacy and the nurses are sick and make fun of their patients. any kind people that start work there quit within the month, they can’t stomach it. kept her additional days just so that they could get their $3k per day and continue to traumatize an individual who needed help. incredibly messed up, if your loved one is going to be sent there you need to get them out NOW."
"I'm currently a patient on this ward. I can say that there's several issues here. Unless your on 1 to 1 your treated completely differently. I've witnessed staff speaking about patient's and laughing. Staff telling there 1 to 1 patient confidential things about others. If you genuinely are struggling I would advise not to ask for anything I've been here nearly 2 weeks and when I ask for something I don't get it so now I've given up asking and suffering in silence instead. I can honestly say that my mental health feels worst now than it ever has. I feel so judged here by the way I look that staff just ignore me. Good luck to anyone coming onto pond ward. Enjoy your stay!"
