“Shapland's at Gaven provide a calm environment for my daughter to learn in. Belinda and Liz in particular have been patient and caring. They are responsible for the progress we have made. Lesson length and sizes are ideal. My daughter can get overstimulated with noise and crowds and we don't experience that at Shaplands. The magnesium pool means no chlorine smells or lingering skin issues. Staff are very responsive around admin tasks. Free make-up lessons are a game changer as we simultaneously navigate swimming lessons and the dreaded child-care illnesses.”

“We supply furniture for Country Paradise Weddings and we cannot fault this amazing beautiful venue. So many different options of where to have a wedding. Either outside or inside. Christine is wonderful to work with and has always been so friendly and helpful. You will not be disappointed:) Very affordable and works with any budget:)”

“Macintosh Island Park is a wonderful oasis of a park close to Main Beach, Narrowneck and Surfers Paradise. With plenty of shade amongst the trees, there is a lake, plenty of birdlife (such as peacocks), a play area, picnic tables, all in a peaceful and tranquil location just a short walk from the hustle and bustle of Main Beach and Surfers Paradise. A wonderful place to escape the crowds for an hour or two.”

“Beautiful scenery and so calm and laid back. Perfect for a picnic/bbq with the grill all ready there to use. Not sure about activities but there were kids kayaking when I was there. Very nice”

“Wow. What a venue, multi purpose home of indoor sports and function centre, and home to the Qld Sun's AFL team. They have purpose built venue at rear of complex, with built in pool and clubhouse/training centre. However the main complex, the Gold Coast &/or Carrara Sports & Leisure Centre has two major halls, one is divided into eight basketball courts for this week's events with a large viewing galley above accessible from stairs in foyer. Other hall has 5 courts with 6th area for training, and can be set up as a 6000+ seated Stadium. Upstairs are a number of smaller office function spaces overlooking courts, with catering areas attached. Foyer had three catering kitchens for use and a main Cafe set up at North end overlooking ovals and into hall two. Numerous toilet/ changeroom facilities flanked either side of foyer for all courts. And it all sits atop an undercover carpark. Very nice venue indeed.”

“Absolutely wonderful place to visit, sometimes you just need to get away and this is the place to do just that, there's plenty of nature and wildlife, from the kangaroos that just hop right past, the cockatoos, the swans and other local birds to the turtles, eels and abundance in fish in the lake. Activity wise, there is so much to do, tennis, mini golf, putt putt, swimming pool, kayaking in the lake and there's even a gaming room. They've really done well to make sure everyone is happy and keeps busy. Really great management.”
