“Met two friends for drinks, lunch and a long-awaited catch up. It was quite busy but we had a table booked. Great, friendly service. An extensive menu with loads of choices. My friends had scampi & chips and the chips were delicious!! I could have made a better choice this time. I had the satay chicken & rice with prawn crackers which was very tasty with loads of chicken. However, I had thought it would have a satay sauce so was rather dry for my liking. My fault for not checking beforehand. I would definitely go again and just have something different. The burgers looked really good.”

“I’ve loved having a beer with friends before a night out in the bear it’s located on the Lewis road so it’s easy to get to the clubs or restaurants at a quick pace. Friendly service and happy smiles, you can find this pub ironically at the bottom of bear road. The proof is in the pudding and this pub has been around for decades watching other pubs fall by the wayside so it must be doing something right.”

“Me and my girlfriend stayed for a night for my birthday and it was gorgeous. We had the Birdcage room which had a gorgeous big bed and bath big enough for us both. The food in the restaurant/pub was incredible. When we arrived we had a glass of fizz with a sharing plate of puddings to die for! Our 3 course dinner was exquisite. Honestly, the food was just brilliant. The staff on hen we visited were also really lovely. Very approachable and professional. Ben especially really made us feel looked after and laughed at our jokes even if they weren't very funny.”

“I have had a c-section at the hospital 1 week ago and can not thank the staff doing my c-section enough. I have praised them to everybody I know. Charlie the anaesthesist was fantastic, calm, patient and ensured to check on me all the time talking everything through with me, then a special mention to Paul who I would refer to as client relationship (although this was not his job title) he ensured me and my husband were updated with what is happened by telling us during the c-section, answering queries and doing a dry run of how to do my spine for the injection to ensure I was not scared, he was simply wonderful and then a special thanks to Mr ‘’Manchester” I call him now as I didn’t catch his name but he will know who I mean, also of course a huge thank you to the surgeon and the supporting staff. On the ward the midwife’s were very supportive and helpful unfortunately I had to use the buzzer a lot of times as my baby was unsettled and I couldn’t pick him up and feed him but they always came swiftly and supported me. I also liked how they encouraged you to get up after 6 hrs etc. and having the breakfast as a help your own option suited me well. Thanks to all the amazing maternity ward staff and surgery staff I had at my c-section you truly are superstars!”

“I cannot recommend Anthea enough! (Sorry I'm using my husband's account to write this! ) We had been trying to get pregnant for a year with no luck.
