“I wanted to give it a couple of months before leaving a review, just to make sure I'd given the wheels time for the lacquer to harden properly and to see if there were any issues - but after waiting a few months I'm happy to say that the problem that brought me to Auto Wheel Repairs has been solved. My front wheels were badly corroded and I was losing a lot of air - around 15-20PSI every week. I was on the verge of burning out my compressor given that every few days I had to top them up with air. I sent off some photos via the website, was contacted pretty quickly, and got a quote that was a fair bit less than other people were charging. AWR collected the wheels - a really friendly guy whose name I forget - and they put the car up on axle stands outside my house. I live on a one-way street but contacted the council and they didn't have a problem with me leaving it. Around a week later, I had a call to let me know the wheels were on their way back to me. You can see from the photos (even though in the 'after' one they've been rained on) that there's a huge difference. I was told that it would take a few weeks for the lacquer to harden properly, so not to use any wheel cleaners for the time being, which I was happy to do. I did have a little trouble getting one of them off a while later because of the thickness of the lacquer, and maybe a little copper slip could have helped there, but of course, that might have affected the lacquer curing. A few months down the line, I'm losing at the most a couple of PSI a month on the offside, and a few more on the nearside, but that's more than likely down to the condition of the tyres. In any case, it's much better than the 15-20PSI every week. I'm really happy, and think I got a really good job done at an excellent price. Many thanks.”

“My pride and joy 2008 Audi TT was parked and subsequently driven into (7 August) by a motorist who chose to drive off without leaving their details. Through my insurance company, I booked the vehicle in to T Reeve for repairs. T Reeve promptly assessed the damage and took my car in 14 September to carry out repairs and repainting to the bonnet, front bumper and fog lights. This involved replacing some “after-market” items. “My family and I have used this garage for years. Mark is a great guy, and when I suspected a rear brake issue with my MX-5, he suggested the rear calipers would likely need changing, which is what I had expected. After having it on the lift, he put it down to lack of use, and let me know that there was no issue to mention with the brakes. I know there are other garages who would have gone along with it, and charged to do the job for some easy cash. He also noted an unrelated issue he spotted that would need to be addressed before the MOT, which has likely saved me a dreaded fail sheet. As he didn't need to do any work to the car, he did the inspection free of charge. I would recommend MJB to anyone, and I will be using him for future work I can't do myself.”
