“Scenery changes with every season. It is a national trust property so non members have to pay to go. Good value. Plenty of pop up coffee huts, good restaurant. Well laid path around the park so allows for people with mobility difficulties or use of mobility cart/scooter/walking aids”

“Lovely open space to walk around. Bring food for the geese.”
Sandgate Park
“Beautiful place for a walk, lots of trees and trails to follow. Paths are pretty firm, but it could be easy to get lost. Lovely little bridge with an excellent reflection for a photo. Definitely a hidden gem and worth a visit.”
Drusillas Park
“Lovely zoo and play park for the primary and junior school aged kids. Plenty of animals which are well looked after. The play area is big with lots of slides swings and walkways. We purchased the tickets on the day and our kids had a wonderful day. tickets can be purchased online, but the date cannot be changed or refunded, we did this last month but our daughter caught chicken pox and couldn't go, shame that online tickets cannot be refunded or changed even in exceptional circumstances.”

Queen's Park, Brighton
“Queens Park is a beautiful area in Brighton. I’ve been going there for seventy years, since I was a toddler. It’s well kept, very clean with a lot of beautiful mature trees along with shrubberies and a big pond with swans, geese and ducks. There’s a big play area for children, all in all a lovely place to visit if you’re visiting Brighton. It’s not far from the city centre.”
Southwater Country Park
“Great little park with cafe, boats, kayaks, adventure playground, skate park and nice little beach. Plenty of places to explore around the lake and also have a picnic. Cafe serves a wide range of stuff and there is also BBQ stands by the beach too. Car parking is easy and plenty of spaces. 1 hour for £1.”

Brooklands Park and Lake
“We miss the train and the adventure room but we do look forward to the new cafe and to continue watching the wildlife through the seasons. We love the landscape, the trees, the wildlife, the play area, the boardwalk, and the parking here at Brooklands. The new play area has looked almost finished for months now which is a great shame everytime we venture back and discover it still closed. Ever hopeful! This is still one of our favourite places to visit”
Saunders Park Edible Community Garden
“beautiful and well kept; it is a pity that in these days there is little water in the pond.”
Seven Sisters Country Park
“I travelled their with my fiancée and it was a sunny and beautiful day. Make sure you go while it is sunny to enjoy the view. The hiking track is pretty easy, of course there are some parts you need to ascend and other to descent but are not difficult. Take water and food in addition to something to sit on as the grass is generally wet. The verge of the see into the hills is spectacular.”
Fishers Farm Park
“An amazing day start to finish. Has everything one needs for kids of all ages. Free parking and overnight stay if needed. Cafe and bar, to water activities and sensory areas. Loved every moment. Please see website and last photo of all that it has.”
Tilgate Park
“Great place for families and loners. Lots of walks through the forest and around the lake. Beautiful trees and shrubs particularly the rhododendrons. Good eating places. Good paths for wheelchairs. Inexpensive parking. Great day out.”
Knockhatch Adventure Park
“Brilliant day out for younger children, very clean park and helpful polite staff. If you plan to eat here I would advise a packed lunch as for the price of things I would expect better quality food, burgers are microwaved and drink sizes are small compared to prices charged. Other than this small detail a fun day out with lots to see and do - recommended.”
Shocktober Fest Scream Park
“Had a great time... First time we have been and see why this has been running for years. It's vast! It's worth getting a few queue jump tickets.. there's so much to get round ... Great bands on and live entertainment mixing with the crowd... It want muddy... All in all really well run and some great attractions. The circus was brilliant and hilarious! There was lots of food trunks but not really any vegan or vegetarian options. Will go again next years”

Ashenground Park
“For a peaceful and tranquil walk with nature, knowing you are not far from the modern world if needed, with parking dotted around the woods it is always something we can all do with from time to time, I am lucky in that i now live in this beautiful area but if you find yourself visiting i would strongly recommend a visit to these woods. On the main man made pathways there is access for wheelchairs and even on some of the trodden in footpaths, it is full of beautiful trees, nature and wildlife.”
