“Brilliant!! I discovered this local hostelry on Thursday evening whilst staying away on business in West Yorkshire. This is a proper local pub, packed with friendly, sociable customers, all enjoying an extensive, delicious range of local real ales, served by a very hospitable landlady and landlord. With a tray of white bread baps smothered in potted meat on the bar (local tradition I believe) for customers to help themselves to, what more can one ask for in a proper pub? I was felt most welcomed by the staff and local customers. Highly recommend you visit this pub for a pint or two?”

“Half way stop on our walk yesterday for a drink and some food. Staff were really friendly and the place was, as always, clean and welcoming. Food was delicious and we didn't wait too long despite it being busy. My only criticism is I had to ask for another drink 3 times before going to the bar and getting it. But, they were busy so this can be forgiven. Can't wait for the warmer weather so I can go back to enjoying the brilliant beer garden.”

“My wife and I visited here on the 1st Dec for a lunch time meal we were both so impressed with the place everything from the surroundings, comfort and staff, very comfy seats in the bar lounge area where we had our meal due to the fact that we took our dog along. The meal itself was fantastic although we both went for the traditional meals I had the fish and chips with mushy peas and my wife has the scampi both portions were ample and very fresh and tasty with a very reasonable price we will definitely return again”

“Hats off to Stonegate , when they refurbished this spot they did a good job. It wasn't shabby before but now it is REALLY nice. If you like sports they have catered for you. The decor is welcoming. The staff are welcoming. The pub is the best in Brighouse.”

“A beautiful old church converted into a fine Wetherspoon. A pleasant outdoor area and all the good food and drink you would expect. Hats off to the young blonde guy (name unknown) who was keeping the pub ship shape and clean during a steady afternoon.”
