“Small, cosy old school pub with a massive selection of beer & cider on tap to choice from. Well stocked bar also carries wide array of cool spirits as well. Atmosphere is pretty chill and there is nice background music too. Lot of character to this place. Service was pretty fast even when I last visited on a recent Friday night. Staff seem pretty sound. Very reasonable prices too.”

“We went on Monday night (2nd January) Haven’t been before under new management but have to say everything was perfect . Very clean which I have to say it really wasn’t before . Food was delicious and piping hot . Spoke to the chef who was really friendly and the man behind the bar was the same. They couldn’t be more helpful and dealt with my wheat intolerant husbands meal without any quibble . Obviously trained in this field and knew what was what . Really enjoyed the night and will be back !”

“I don't go here often due to me being an hour away. But when I do visit here I always have a cracking time. Cracking beer with good people. I also caught the eye of a decent bird whilst I was in there. But alas...... ring on me finger ay there hahahah. Hopefully this pub continues to be a strong beer house for years to come. It's should be treasured.”

Your are fine to order in from you favourite takeaway, Uber or whichever you like best which gives you a better choice of what you like rather the choosing of a pub menu.”

“Went, in for a drunk, game of darts. I found the landlady, landlord to be very friendly. The selection of real ales, were of top quality. My son and myself, opted for a 5% pale ale, this was actually fantastic condition, beautifully crafted, poured well from the pull.”

“Had a lovely visit to The Lodge yesterday. Staff couldn't have been more welcoming. Was extremely busy but they managed to sort us out a table for 4 and also welcomed our dog. The food was amazing and not too expensive either. Thanks to all the staff. Keep up the great work. Will definitely be coming back.”

“Never had a bad visit to the Swallows Nest. Prices aren't cheap but always a nice treat. 2 quality cocktails for £12 went down well though. Lovely to visit in the winter when the fires going or in the summer when the terrace with its view is a favourite. Food quality is good and look forward to returning”

“Had a big family party here over the Christmas period and everything was excellent. Really friendly and helpful staff, sorted everything we wanted - crackers, music and private area. Carvery was delicious, well cooked and really good value for money. Can't fault them and will be back regularly.”
