Anvi Indian & Bangladeshi Cuisine
“Another name change and new owner, the Double Masalla is the latest in a long line of restaurants to occupy these premises. It's been over 25 years ago since I first ate in this building. Wishing to avoid the crowd (and Covid) the wife and I returned last Friday and the experience was great. The room is clean and tidy, yes there are a few rough edges but it's a very old building. We received super service from a very polite and friendly waitress, overseen by a gentleman who is arguably one of the founding fathers of the Birmingham / Black Country "Indian" restaurant trade. All Lye High St restaurants are very quiet at the moment (the parking restrictions not helping) and need support, personally I don't think you could do better than by starting here. The experience was great, from the poppadoms right through to the bill. If you do opt for the Handi, as I did, then you may want to ask for the thick sauce version but either way you will have to wait 5 minutes for it to cool down. The chicken within was superb. The wife was highly impressed with her ridiculously cheap balti, I suggest you need look no further on the menu but we will be back to try some of the other dishes. There was nothing wrong with our sides either. There is a very convenient car park at the rear but remember to register your car registration. You can take your own alcoholic drinks, alternatively there is an off licence next door.”

“In our opinion the best Indian takeaway in the area and also the best value for money. Have been regulars for a number of years now and sadly not operating at the moment due to a refurbishment. A helpful guy who answered the phone recommended Spice of Lye which was 'ok' just not the same. Hopefully it will be back open again soon.”

“Excellent service and food. Great selection for vegetarians and vegans and good size portions too. We chose poppadoms, the dips were gorgeous, and samosas for starters, vegetable korma and vegetable tikka masala for main with rice and naan, delicious, so tasty, packed full of veg. Can't wait to return, would definitely recommend.”
Bombay Pickles
“My daughters 21st was an amazing night. This place stands well above any other Indian restaurant in Stourbridage, even Cellars...they confirmed my booking over the phone prior, they are so so welcoming. I got there early to bring in cake and balloons, and let me chill for 5 mins after a hectic day. The food was beautiful, came out all together, hot (there was 15 of us). We didn't have to wait too long either...for anything, even drinks. Just absolutely spot on. Staff are very attentative. Would recommend this over any other place by a million miles. Well done guys.”
Indiluxe
“The staff here at Indiluxe are exstreamly accommodating, going out of there way to go the extra mile! We attend for a Birthday, and the table was already pre-decorated, we had our own birthday music, and a complimentary cocktail for the birthday girl! They made our night special, and rememberable. Ontop of this, all the food was piping hot and delicious. The Peshwari naan was just how I liked it! I tried two dishes I'd never had before, and ate every last fork full. I will defiantly be returning.”

Dosa Corner
“I happened to hear about this place over a word of mouth from a friend's whatsapp group and decided to pop in with the family, first I wanted to make sure they are open and seating available for us before set off ( its a 15 miles distance to us) Surprise.. The all new Dosa corner is brand new restaurant & nicely done interior, very clean and smart looking staff members, The Chef can be seen preparing foods in the background, nice music & vibe. We ordered starters and mains, the starters of vadai/rolls were so tasty spot on/crispy accompanied by lovely freshly made chutney selection, I had mutton soup starter which is nice n spicy but could be better off with bit more ingredients, we ordered squid curry which was nice and followed by mains of masala dosa ( my son gave 10/10 for great taste ) and mutton biryani and mutton koththu roti, which were really flavorsome and taste tingling 100% superb, overall just enough portions, freshly prepared food quality, very tasty, just right salt content & most of all we asked for medium spice level which the Chef prepared exactly what we asked for, the chicken fried rice was also yummy ( 10/10 from my daughter ) we ran out of space to order more, so first proper srilankan restaurant in Birmingham & surrounding areas they have done justice with the food and mind you they only open for the last few days, teething problems expected but amazingly there were none, its already popular loads of people coming in to eating out and take away which was nice to see and it gives the restaurant good credits. Thanks to the Owner, a lovely man kindly spoke to us as well as the waitress whom was very polite, attentive and caring, we left with a courtesy of sweets served aftermath main meals, Highly recommended eatery, you cant go wrong. oh by the way very friendly prices, its well worth it too.”
