“We had a buffet for 25 people delivered for a party. The food was amazing, fantastic choice, portions were really big and despite the scale of the party it was cooked to order and incredibly tasty. “The food was so good we were planning our next visit during our starters! Booking is probably advised, although the phone line was busy so we chanced it (just managed to get a table). You'll be looked after by the staff here, happy to answer questions and help you pick the right dish. Very reasonably priced and well worth the visit.”

“Such a lovely dinner out! Very busy for a Tuesday night (which is always a good sign!) - glad we booked a table. Delicious food: melt in the mouth fish pakora; the naan was an awesome combination of fluffy round the outside and crispy in the middle, loaded with tonnes of slivered garlic!! Split two curries between us (numbers 42 & 44 on the menu), both were lovely. Friendly, attentive staff and the finishing touches, including hot towels and orange slices, were the cherry on top. Highly recommend!”

“The best culinary experience we had during our trip is Scotland. This is a must-go restaurant if you are visiting Edinburgh : tasty meals (all of them!!), large portions and so gentle staff! We went there two days in a row for dinner and everything was perfect!!”

“Just been for a meal for 6 people and have to say it was amazing. From walking in the door to out we were treated like royalty. The food I was apprehensive about as been to the bay leaf in pumpherston but it was just as good if not even better. The reason for being better is the staff. They do everything for you wether it being drink or choice of food. I would recommend asking Ur waiter for the best choice.”

“First time trying, staff was really friendly received a discount and was happy to adjust a deal for me for an extra couple pound which was well worth it, food was absolutely delicious chicken was full of flavour only downside is not enough curry sauce but ill definitley be back!”

“Dishoom is a must-visit in Edinburgh. We had such an enjoyable experience. Even though they don’t take dinner reservations, guests can enjoy their great cocktails at the basement bar while waiting for a table. The service is just superb - staff always come round to make sure you’re taken care of, and very accommodating with your requests. The tapas-style modern Indian street cuisine is delicious, as are their drinks.”

“Amazing food! Newer to Indian food and decided to try something new based on the reviews and menu and was super glad I did. We were blown away by the flavorful Chicken vindaloo, the vegetable pakora, and also the peshawari Naan. Great prices for the serving amount. We had a mishap with delivery as well and had to have them deliver twice, which we felt terrible about, but they were still very nice and understanding about it and the food was still hot and delicious”

“Good food for a reasonable price, staff checks on you etc. The location is nice too. Good to know if you're interested in prices: a main dish comes without a naan, so all in all it will set you back about 18 pounds, (soft)drinks are nicely priced at 2,50. Which is quite reasonable I'd say. Food wise: the peshwari naan and the chicken pathia are well recommended. I've read other reviews here: when in doubt just ask about or say no to the starter kind of thing they offer when sitting down (but to be fair the restaurant could be more transparent about this).”

“We were looking for somewhere to have dinner during our two night stay in Inverkeithing. Gulshan Tandoori was recommended by the locals, and we were very happy with our dine-in meal. Friendly attentive service, tasty food and plenty of it. The service was quick and efficient and the price was good. We liked it so much we went back the next night too.”

“Very much enjoyed this place. We had outdoor seating, which accommodated 2 tables. I thought it was a tiny place but inside it's pretty large and has alot of seating! I felt like we had great table service and the food was excellent. We ordered a #3 and #4 under the Nepalese non-vegetarian section. We also ordered the Everest beer which was great.”

“Update: I finally had the chance to dine in. I can say my original review holds. If anything, it's probably my favourite Indian this side of Edinburgh. A really nice tasty Indian restaurant. We ordered a range of classics such as chicken tikka masala and chicken korma, and they were very tasty. The delivery was on time and food was well packaged. The portion sizes were good too, enough to fill us up. I'm giving 5 stars because they deserve it and I couldn't find any problems with our evening delivery. For an easy, comfortable Indian takeaway, I'd recommend this place.”

“Incredible, staff are incredibly friendly and the atmosphere is nice. Food is 10/10, we overate but took leftovers away. Only regret is we didn’t get the chance to tip on the card machine, and we had no loose cash on us. Will double tip next time we are in! Will be coming back.”

Made the special night even more special by tailoring to our needs amazingly.
