Lough Road Yoga Ballinderry
● Closed“Kelly has an amazing studio, with all the props you could imagine, so you just turn up ! The studio is in a lovely location and puts you in a good mood as soon as you walk through the door, there is a lovely warm feeling . Kelly is a very good teacher, very quickly susses our your level and has a very gentle but experienced way of encouraging you to improve your postures and make you feels you can stretch that little bit further without feeling under pressure to do more than you should. Would highly recommend her classes. She also has workshops from visiting teachers offering something different.”

The Harrison Chambers of Distinction
● Open“The Harrison Chambers Of Distinction. Recently we had the pleasure and privilege of staying in Melanie Harrison’s wonderful Chambers of Distinction; elegantly restored, landmark Victorian merchants’ residences dating from 1879. Ideally located near the Lyric Theatre, Queens Film Theatre, the Grand Opera House, Crescent Arts Centre and just opposite Botanic gardens, this “Bohemian Bolthole” is an absolute delight. Unique & quirky, this gorgeous building is a celebratory tribute to Belfast’s artistic, historical and cultural past, seamlessly combining the owner’s exquisite collection of art and curios, with sumptuous comfort, modern facilities and incredible attention to detail. On our arrival, we were warmly welcomed by our host who was preparing the front lounge for an afternoon of festive jazz with the wonderful Marion Jordan on vocals. What a terrific start to the Yuletide season! With a great selection of jazz standards and Christmas tunes, the appreciative crowd were soon singing and dancing in no time, helped along in no small part by the drinks served by the friendly & enthusiastic staff. That evening, we were staying in the Ruby Murray Suite; huge bay windows, reclaimed floorboards sympathetically restored antique furniture, sumptuous velvet curtains and a stunning freestanding bathtub. And the nostalgic old record-player, lined up to play Ruby’s Greatest Hits on vinyl, was a delightful touch. Utterly charming. All around the hotel, we found a myriad of pieces reflecting the underlying mischief and tongue-in-cheek humour of the hotel’s playful personality. Breakfast in the front lounge was the perfect way to start the day. Continental in style and staying true to the high standards of every aspect of the Harrison; overnight oats and fruit, granola and croissants, breads, cheese and charcuterie, tea served in humorously cute teapots: everything has been carefully considered and expertly executed. Our stay was an absolute treat, and we cannot recommend The Harrison highly enough. As the old adage behind the reception says, “You Treat This Place Like A Hotel! ” And this hotel certainly knows exactly how to treat its guests! One word. Perfection.”

Billy Neill MBE Country Park
● Open“Wonderful resource with lots of different paths and beautiful views over the surrounding countryside. I went in the morning - about 10.30 - and, even though there was quite a large number of cars in the car park, I didn't feel at all uneasy: there was lots of room on the pathways. It is a work in progress, of course, but when the tens of thousands of trees are all planted and are growing, it will be a fantastic wooded area. Also a good number of benches which are situated at intervals and provide a seat so you can admire the view - as well as rest weary legs.”

LivingWell Health Club
● Closed“I had a number of spa treatments here with Grace as a gift from my bf. I got a full body massage, a facial and a manicure. These are not treatments I get to experience often. So, I thought it was GREAT! Grace was lovely, super professional and friendly but not overly chatty which I appreciated. If you want to treat yourself and get pampered for a day book yourself in! You will leave relaxed, soothed and your skin will smell gorgeous!”

National Trust Lisnabreeny Cregagh Glen
● Open“Beautiful scenic walk, our dog loves it just as much as we do. Shame about some people's problem with littering. We witnessed one woman toss her coffee cup into the stream whilst ironically taking a photo of a different area. If you can't hold onto your single use coffee cup (or whatever else) until you leave, maybe don't bring it or bring a bag?”

Lisnacurran Country House
● Open“This was my first time stay in Northern Ireland. I really loved it, and found the Irish are all so kind, friendly, helpful and polite. I spent 4 nights here at Lisnacurran Country House and was made very welcome from the start and really enjoyed my stay. The hosts were delightful, helpful, friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. My room and bathroom was clean, well equipped and comfortable. I had access to the main courtyard with a large table and chairs for eating or drinking, surrounded by plants and shrubs and wooden steamer type loungers to relax or sunbathe on. I also had a very useful exit at the back also with a table and places to relax and very near to the large breakfast room where we had delicious breakfasts every day at our own table with a wide choice for our breakfast, including a cooked breakfast. Do try the delicious homemade croissants, which were too yummy! Ellen, who helped look after us at breakfast, did it all so well, making sure we had everything and again nothing was too much trouble for her, she was very sweet. It was a lovely relaxing stay and the situation is good, near to so many places of interest. I really enjoyed my holiday here and can thoroughly recommend it to anyone, and I will certainly return again. Thank you for a really good holiday!”
