"I used VRBO search engine to rent a condo in Orange Beach. I rented a condo that was sponsored by Sands Of Alabama. VRBO charged me $443 to use their site. If Sands Of Alabama uses this search engine, they should pay the fee! The condominiums are way over priced, an extra fee should not be tacked on!!!!"

"Highly recommend not booking through Sands of Alabama Vacation rentals or Airbnb. We cancelled our trip two days before due to friends and family informing us of a possible hurricane and obviously us not being from the area did not know severity or where it was headed and if we would be driving through any of the bad weather to get to the destination. We paid extra for travel insurance prior to the trip which come to find out does absolutely nothing so that was more money wasted. Sands of Alabama was not even willing to let us reschedule our dates as we did not care about the refund we just wanted to change our dates for a different time that we felt safer coming. Instead they want to keep all of our money that we paid. Airbnb was also no help so we will no longer be using them either. I encourage you to book through someone who will be understanding of any circumstances that may come up considering most people will at least let you change your dates as we have never had issues in the past until now. Very disappointed in this agency and Airbnb."
