Dr. Sonek is a proud member of the clinical faculty at both Ohio State and Wright State University.
Renowned for his expertise in ultrasonography, Dr. Sonek holds the RDMS certification in Obstetric, Gynecologic, and Neuro Sonography. His groundbreaking work includes identifying a key marker for Down syndrome through the absence of fetal nasal bone development and pioneering the Fronto-Maxillary Facial Angle technique. These contributions have earned him international acclaim.
Dr. Sonek leads a busy private practice while actively engaging in resident education and global ultrasonography courses. As President and Chairman of the Board for the Fetal Medicine Foundation USA, he continues to advance first trimester training and accreditation in collaboration with the original Fetal Medicine Foundation in London. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine in the UK and an Honorary Member of the OB/GYN Society in the Czech Republic.
