Dr. Wiegand served as an officer in the Air Force, imparting her expertise as a resident educator and medical student clerkship director at Wright-Patterson Medical Center, and as the Deputy Medical Director at Langley Hospital's Women's Clinic. Her fellowship at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill further honed her skills, particularly in ultrasound, prenatal diagnosis, and addressing substance use disorders in pregnancy. These areas, along with managing pre-existing maternal medical conditions, in-utero therapy, and resident education, continue to be her special interests.
Since returning to Dayton in 2015 with her husband, also an Air Force veteran, and their three children, Dr. Wiegand has been committed to providing exceptional care to her patients.
