"Beautiful park with many soccer fields and lush green hiking trails. We visited in early May and trails were filled for flowers. Amazing scenic park!!"
"A true gem. While most folks would go to the side of Rentschler Park that has a playground, shelter, and a couple of short trails, don't sleep on this side of the park. Accessible by turning into Rentschler Estates Dr off of highway 4, the trail here essentially comprises two loops connected by the same path walking in. The first loop takes hikers through an open area before entering tree-lined terrain that contains earthworks by Native American inhabitants from centuries ago. There is a small section of uphill terrain that will require you to hold on to ropes to climb up, but the sense of history here is rewarding. On your way back, you will walk through a path carved in between tall rising pines. The second loop takes you down to a pond that is rich with life. Dragonflies, frogs, and of course mosquitos greet you upon entrance. There is a small bench for you to sit to take in the serenity (bring your insect repellent!). Keep walking in and you'll be walking through some dense foliage along with cobwebs spun by arachnids to keep the mosquito population somewhat under control. Eventually, you will loop back to the pond and the entrance. Overall, a great hike. One loop takes around a leisurely 30 to 40 minutes. Both will likely take about 1.5 hours. No restrooms here. So either take care of your business before coming or be at one with nature."

This park offers a unique opportunity to experience the beauty of nature, and I had the privilege of visiting it today. I embarked on a 2.6-mile long hike that took me on a journey through the park, surrounded by lush greenery, rolling hills, and breathtaking landscapes. The trail, while beautiful, presented a bit of a challenge during my visit as the ground was covered in thick mud, making it difficult to walk without losing your footing. But, that only added to the adventure, and I suggest wearing sturdy, waterproof boots if you plan on visiting during the winter season. As I walked deeper into the park, I came across an interesting site - an Earthwork patch that was once used by the Native Americans for dark magic rituals. The history and mystery surrounding this place was truly captivating, and I couldn't help but imagine the rituals and ceremonies that took place there long ago. The highlight of my hike was walking under a magnificent line of oak trees that offered a one-of-a-kind view of the park. This picturesque setting would make for an excellent background for some amazing photos, and I highly recommend bringing a camera with you on your visit. In conclusion, if you're looking for a peaceful and beautiful escape from the chaos of modern life, then the Rentschler Forest Metro Park Line Hill is the perfect destination for you. Just remember to bring some refreshments and your sense of adventure, and you're guaranteed to have an unforgettable experience."
