"Deb Fowler has helped me and my family purchase multiple properties in the Burlington area and she has been wonderful to work with for every purchase! Very flexible and easy to schedule time with, and very QUICK which can be critical in housing market today."
"We bought our first home from Deb in Burlington, Iowa. She was so helpful and made sure that we were taken care of throughout the entire process. When we decided it was time to sell our home to grow our family we not only went through Deb to sell but to then purchase our next home! If you’re looking to buy or sell a home in Iowa or Illinois, Deb Fowler is your girl!"
"Deb Fowler was amazing in quickly selling my father-in-law's home and helping him find a new one. Deb was very prompt with getting offers and issues addressed in the sale of a home, and the home was sold in a few weeks. Deb then patiently went to numerous houses with him and us, just to find the right new home. We were extremely impressed with how helpful and professional she was. Thank you so much for making it easy!"
"Extremely rude and ignorant. I would very highly recommend not to use this agent unless you enjoy being lied to and scammed out of your money. Very pushy and verbally aggressive and makes you feel belittled. Deb is the listing agent of a home my boyfriend and I have been looking to purchase recently and have had an absolutely HORRIBLE experience! My boyfriend sent a check for earnest money to guarantee no one could buy it from under us while we wait for an inspection to be done. WE paid to have an inspection done and it yielded the results we were expecting and then some. The minor things weren't a big deal to us because like I said, we were expecting them, but the major issues that came up in the inspection we were obviously not expecting. The internal systems (water heater, furnace, ac) are all 25 years old, the roof is 15+ years old and the paint is peeling so bad that if it is not fixed very soon the wood siding will begin to rot. The inspection also yielded a failed radon test with higher than average radon levels which would mean we would have to have the home mitigated. All of the major repairs would have cost us almost half of the cost of the home to repair so naturally we offered less than we originally offered so we could cover the cost of the repairs. The seller declined the offer, which is fine, they have 48 hours to counter offer. but while we were waiting for either a counter offer or for a document signed by the seller stating that he declined the offer, Deb listed the home as FOR SALE on Zillow etc. This is an issue because they have my boyfriends earnest money that keeps the house locked down with us until the seller declines or counter offers. My boyfriend contacted her to ask why it was listed for sale when his earnest money has not been refunded and and we have no signed documents stating that he declined or counter offered and she told him not to contact her. He also mentioned that the home is not move in ready due to high levels of radon. She laughed and stated that she thought it was move in ready. Radon gives off radioactive particles that when inhaled can damage cells in the lining of the lungs causing lung cancer. Radon is responsible for 21,000 lung cancer deaths each year in the united states. It's not funny nor is the house move in ready unless you're you're willing to expose yourself to HIGH levels of radioactive particles. Zillow says she has 25 years of experience buts still offers a piss poor service and attitude. Her story as to why this home is being sold is that the sellers wife passed away. After doing several hours of research on this home and neighborhood we have discovered this is simply not true. She divorced him and re-married and is selling the furniture from the home on Facebook marketplace. Debs ploy to get herself and her client more money out of this home than it is worth has failed. Over all bad agent. Very pushy, rude, and ignorant. She has made buying our first home very difficult and stressful Don't let her bully you into paying more for a home than you are comfortable with."
"VERY dishonest, rude and pushy "Real Estate Agent", I put a offer on a house it got accepted, I was recommended to do a inspection on the house to see if anything needed to be repaired, and if so the cost of the house would be negioated, well after a 55 page report came back it was apparent it needed work done, I sent in my request of what needed to be fixed or compensated. Seller denied it which is great, however Deb Fowler has not gotten the certification that the house was "Declined" by the Seller and she continues to list it on Zillow and Realtor even with it being under "Contact" claiming that she is getting "Back up offer" well here is the problem, I put $1000 of Earnest Money down paid to Century 21 and she is trying to sell the property without the contact being canceled out and certified on documents. You cannot list a house stating there is NO OFFERS on it when there is a "ACCEPTED OFFER" and you have my Earnest Money in full. She also lied about the reason the property is being sold, she said the Owners wife "Died" well after doing some research that's not the case she divorced him 2 years ago and married another man that is local and furthermore to find out, she is selling all of his belongings on Facebook Market, I was also told if I pay for a Inspection that costed $520 that it would help get me a better deal for the property, well $520 went wasted because the Seller would not accept the offer which is fine, but I will never understand why this realtor will constantly lie to attempt to make a sale and furthermore be caught in several lies and continue to ask like nothing is happening, and to top it all off whenever you call her out she will just respond "Do not contact me anymore" you are the LISTING Agent and I am the "ACCEPTED" offer and you have my Earnest Money."
