Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and staffed by a team of highly trained professionals, including board-certified emergency medicine physicians and nurses specialized in advanced cardiac life support. We ensure rapid medical evaluations for all patients, prioritizing those with the most critical needs through our efficient triage system.
At Hannibal Regional Hospital, we are proud to be a designated Level III Stroke Center by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services. As part of the Time Critical Diagnosis System, we collaborate with the 911 response system, ambulance services, and other hospitals to provide timely and effective care for stroke patients, enhancing survival and recovery rates.
Our Emergency Department features an advanced monitoring system and on-staff cardiologists capable of remote EKG monitoring, ensuring comprehensive care for both minor emergencies and life-threatening situations. We prioritize patient convenience with easy access and ample parking off Emergency Drive at our main hospital complex.

"Only giving a one star because that's as low as it will allow. Terrible ER. My wife and I waited in the lobby for over 5 hours. She was at a 10 on the pain scale and they made her sit there for over 5 hours. The pain she had after 5 hours of waiting was worse than the pain she had going in. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else."
"Hubby and I were in town to visit the historic sites in Hannibal for our anniversary. I had a pretty bad fall and fractured my ankle at the Tom Sawyer properties, I refused an ambulance ride and chose to have hubby take me to the ER ourselves to get looked at. Every single person from the front desk lady, to he security officers and the medical staff that we came in contact with were very friendly and helpful. Thank you all so much for your care and kindness!!"
