"Great experience with the Avis@Dothan Regional Airport. Staff was very friendly. Although I was unaware of the hold on your credit card,but the young lady explained everything and answered all questions that we had. We received a 2024 Nissan Altima.Nice automobile it was a little small for us(we are big/tall ,plus couple) but it wasn't too uncomfortable. For the price of the rental for the weekend, it was worth it."

"The rental agent was very friendly, courteous, extremely competent, helpful and made the entire process, from pick-up, vehicle selection, and return so very easy. The vehicle (Chev Malibu) was very comfortable, well-maintained and economical. Only negative would be cleanliness. It general it was clean but being a detail-oriented person, I was disappointed in the attention-to-detail of the interior. For example, there were many dog hairs on the rear seat, and there was evidence of spilled drink on the center console. This is the second time I have rented from this facility and would rent again and recommend it to others."

"I have never had a worse experience with a car rental service in my life. I completely booked a car online, but upon arrival I was given an electric vehicle (EV) with no information about it at all. No one explained that it takes 10 hours for the fastest level of charging available. I’m literally stuck in a parking lot writing this review on my “weekend getaway” charging an EV until 6:00 am. Even if I was able to drive it back, according to the paperwork they ask you to sign without any explanation, it states if you don’t bring the vehicle back with at least a 10% charge or more you’ll be charged an additional $70. But that’s not all. Unlike other rental companies who will only charge by the hour past the scheduled drop off time, considering the customer’s departure flight is later than when they picked it up, they will require the vehicle is back exactly 24 hours after checking it out, or you’ll be charged an additional day, around $80+ or more. I highly recommend avoiding an EV on a road trip with a rental company because it seems like they want to scam you into paying more, and you’ll ultimately end up wasting your vacation in a random parking lot somewhere after spending hours finding the correct charging station."

"If you advertise that after hours drop offs are accepted and give instructions to put keys in lock box, HAVE A LOCK BOX. The employees at pick up knew my return time. I chose to leave the car and just bring the keys when they opened in the morn. And left a voicemail. THEN was told I owe an extra day bc I was late. I was told she was going to hang up on me, and did, then picked up/hung up on 3 times before I could get her name. SHERRY. And for the pick up staff, Not my problem your lock box was being broken into but you knew u didn’t have one!! Will not use Avis again."

"The. Best. Car. Rental. Experience. Ever. Professional, Friendly,and Courteous staff. Not only was my car ready to go when I got off the plane, I got a free upgrade! Sherry and Tina (and the person who cleans and checks the rentals after they have been returned) went out of their way to help recover what my better half left in the rental. They never lost patience with us, they were very understanding. If We are ever back to Dothan, We will definitely use Avis again. Thank you Avis for employing such stellar and outstanding employees! They are truly an asset. Thank you for going the extra mile!!!"
