"This is my follow-up of the review I made the first week of July. When I started the process then, I called Jackie who came highly recommended. She always answered the phone & was very nice. I felt very confident in my purchase. That was then. My cart was delivered finally October 11. I have no reason to believe I have a lemon cart & I hope I have no issues. I am confident if I do, I am on my own to resolve it. Here's why. Jackie told me my cart would be ready in 5 weeks, the 2nd week of August. If she would have told me 14 wees, I would have not made the purchase. After I made the purchase Jackie never answered the phone. When she got back to me there was always an excuse. There were so many, which translated into lies to me. She explained how the carts were made in Sarasota, delivered to Clearwater for conversion to lithium, etc., and how she was in Hudson. Like I said Jackie was nice as was everyone I dealt with at Discovery. Nice does not equal communication, honesty, & when it came to the technician, competence. How do you not follow up when you gave your word that things would be done to make sure they are so you don't look like a liar? I can't tell you how many times during this process I told Jackie, "Attention to detail matters.' After the late August excuse about the delay, I gave myself a deadline of Sept 8, that if the cart wasn't ready, to cancel the order. A medical emergency occurred that week that sidelined me for weeks so I let it go. When I got out of the hospital, Jackie assured me the cart would be delivered September 29. She advised me September 30 the cart would be it would be delivered October 6. There was a discussion about cancelling the order, but I gave her one final week to keep her word because I was still recovering. I strongly suggested the $200 delivery fee be waved because of delays. I live 175 miles away on the east coast. She informed later me the fee would be waved. The cart arrived at the Clearwater store October 6. She informed me the conversion would be Monday October 9 & I could come check it out & test drive etc. Tuesday October 10 & the technician, a great guy, Nad would take care of me & delivery would be coordinated. I drove the 175 miles to Clearwater. Stopped at 7-11 to use the restroom a mile from Discovery. Walked out & saw my first Epic Golf cart. Black just like mine but I knew it wasn't with the stock steering wheel. The closer I looked; I saw a tag attached that said sold with my name on it. Then Nad walked out not knowing who I was with a drink & hotdog with ketchup he sat on my band new golf cart seat. I told him who I was. He looked like I just caught him with his pants down & picked up the hot dog. He was nice & told me where the store was & I met him there. Needless to say, I was not impressed. Nad showed me everything on the cart & I showed him the wrong steering wheel where he never read the invoice & a cockeyed lithium gauge that had to be straightened. He said he would take care of it & I made it clear to Jackie it had better be or I would not accept delivery & reminded her again attention to detail matters. She made it clear it wasn't her fault, that she can't stand over Nad's shoulder to insure he does the work. I believe Nad knows how to do his job, he's just a lazy minimalist. He was nice though but by then the apologies from him & Jackie were empty meaningless words. One thing he did was show me a nice 16 ft charging cable that you could take with you unlike the charger. The battery was at 52% then & I was informed it's protocol for Discovery to deliver a fully detailed, fully charged cart to customers. He told me the cart would be delivered the next day, October 11. I was ready for my cart to finally be delivered that I purchased July 3. It was. After the driver left, I saw the cart had not been charged. If Nad would have simply done his job, He would have discovered, the wrong charging cable was in the cart & could have corrected it. My next call to Jackie which again had to be returned was not pleasant. It was clear the sale was complete. Nice cart!"
