Located in an old impressionist art gallery - as the many quaint acrylics still decorating the walls attest to - Wong Laundromat continues to be a neighborhood institution, keeping the good folks of Midwood and Flatbush clean and smelling of Tide - the only detergent allowed on the premises - and scents of a natural, though still a secret variety. When asked about the immaculate condition of the laundered clothes, Wong’s expression changes from friendly febreze to dryer sheet deadpan - I have a feeling we will never know - nobody around here air their dirty linen in public."
