"Impossible to get in touch with office. Either get a recording saying office is closed (when it’s not) or that they’re experiencing technical difficulties with their phone system. Dont waste your time with this office. Find another endocrinologist. This place is horrible!"

"Been going to Shanik for awhile. Was good at first. The waiting room is terrible. You never get into your appointment on time. I’ve had to walk out after waiting an hour to get to work. Another time I had to say something after waiting 45 minutes. I’ve have some issues. Shanik would right then down in his notes. Tell me everything is normal. I was not normal. He gave me a prescription insurance company wouldn’t cover and it woild cost me $1700 a month. I called the office and was told there is no other option. I left messages and talk to the girls eight times I never got a call back."

"I was very disappointed with Dr. Shanik. He didn't answer any of my questions, didn't take my situation seriously, and rushed me out. Then when I left a review on the practice website, he called me 'crying' about his reputation. Maybe listen to your reviews so you can get more than a 2 star rating. If you want answers and things explained to you, he's not your guy. I heard Dr. Kuglar is much better so if you have to go to their office, choose Kuglar. Just be aware, the office is ran horribly. They don't answer calls, they don't return calls and every single staff member is rude."

"I had the privilege of being under the care of an exceptional endocrinologist, Dr. Shanik. He treated me with the utmost respect and took the time to listen to my concerns. The front desk staff is patient, accommodating, and went above and beyond to schedule my appointment as soon as possible. If you’re looking for a new endocrinologist, Dr Shanik and his team have been nothing but professional and helpful during a time when I was really uncomfortable and confused about my thyroid issues."

"I have been seeing Dr Shanik for about 18mos now. I cannot begin to tell you how impressed I am with Dr Shanik and his staff. I have read other negative reviews and felt compelled to rebut them. Dr Shanik is kind and courteous and always listens to what I have to say and answer all of my questions……even the dopey ones! I was previously a patient of Dr Mitsinikos and couldn’t wait to get the hell away from him. He was rude and nasty and even had the “stones” to LITERALLY BERATE me on one occasion because my bloodwork hadn’t come in on time and he had to read a faxed copy! Dr Shanik has a much better attitude and bedside manner. AND he was the only one who has been able to get my A1C’s down to 5.6. The office staff is very sweet and professional. On the rare occasion I have to wait a few minutes they keep checking in on me and apologizing. Every doctor runs late. But I don’t mind waiting a bit for someone that cares and has my best interests at heart. Don’t be swayed by negative reviews. Check their profiles as most of the time all of their other reviews are negative, as well. It just shows the character of the person leaving the review!!"
